Alright then.
Methinks I have stumbled upon a solution for my issue.

The solution ?
The contacts that I choose to use with the Android "Contact", "Direct Dial" and Direct Message" widgets, need to be on the Android device itself rather than in the cloud somewhere.

By default, every contact I create when using my phone, defaults to the location of my Google account.

So, all I needed to do was ....
Create a new contact and choose "Device" as the location for it.
Then, reference this device based contact via the "Contact", "Direct Dial" or "Direct Message" widgets.
That's it.

I've tested the above using several device based contacts and none of them have disappeared for almost 6 hours now.

I hope my experience might be of some little help to others.

I use the standard android countdown app (timer function in the clock app), but it also stays silent when the phone is on muted.
Is there an app that does the same but still gives an audable alarm (despite the phone set to mute)?

Reformatting it and continuing to use it is pretty much a judgement call you need to make yourself. Not knowing any details about the card makes any random suggestions more of a problem -- if it's an older microSD card and a lower capacity there are performance issues tied to its general speed (read and mostly write) so getting a newer, faster card will be a benefit for your overall usage; but if it's a newer card you might want to think about that reformat/reuse option (the corruption matter could just be a one-off incident -- i.e. the default file system is FAT32 or exFAT, with FAT being a minimally stable and reliable file system even when used in typical situations. If the camera app in your phone is set up to use the microSD card as its default storage media, and you record a lot of video content that does stress the card a bit. So again, it's your call on this. Depending on the card's specs and how you use it need to be taken into consideration, and don't forget that microSD cards are relatively cheap (unless they're the higher capacity, faster class cards), so you need to weigh how much your data is worth to you. If you do upgrade to a newer card, don't skimp out and pick up a bargain-bin special, those cheap knock-offs are a good example of you get what you pay for.

I noticed at lunchtime that this had resolved itself and they were working again. However, following a factory reset, they are back with the same error but I'm hoping it will magically fix itself again

I can't remember exactly but I try hitting the different options and nothing happens then I lose the call that I was talking to. Maybe I need to swipe the options instead of tapping the options I'll have to see what happens if I get a second call another time unless you have some basic instructions you can offer

Thank you James L. I did try that unfortunately they don't have my firmware. Never thought it would be so difficult to find with today's data resources. Seems everyone wants the newest n fastest anything anymore. Some things need to be appreciated for what they are IV had about vintage everything n they were like comfortable old slippers. Lola. If it's an official update from LG, it should retain all the languages that it originally came with. And certainly if it's an LG that's intended for your region or country(Russia?), or an international variant, it will retain Russian.

They probably have Korean language only phones in North Korea, and nowhere else, and definitely wouldn't be an LG or Samsung.

I have seen Android devices that are Chinese language only, but those are only intended to be sold and used in China.

Hello, I'm looking for a reusable privacy cover for the selfie camera. I've been using blu-tack variants but they are hard to remove when I need to use it and tend to stick to and damage the inside of the phone cover flap. A lot of privacy covers are for laptops so probably too bulky for the tiny notch area. I want to keep the light sensor uncovered. I've tried simple dot stickers but they are a pain to remove.
£16 seems rather excessive privacy cover Amazon

P.s. Android Forums has no option for P20 Lte so had to improvise.

I understand that something is wrong with the expiration of the certificate, that signs my app, but I can't do anything about it.

I couldn't find any information about this error in Google.

I tried to use a new keystore, I completely removed signingConfig from Gradle settings, I renamed the package, I removed debug.keystore file.

That sounds about right. The Cubot Max 2 does NOT have the North American 3G, and 4G bands and modes in it. And there's nothing you can do about it. Except possibly returning it to China for a refund, if you bought it recently. Did you buy it from Gearbest or something?

well the most difficult part would be how to determine what constitutes a lap from the watches perspective? and when you do lapos are you doing flip turns or touching the wall and pushing off. all of these things would need some sophisticated calculations. it is much easier to gage distance then laps.

There is an app call DiskDigger that may be able to recover your deleted photos. The key word is "may".
