Help Any way to block a specific phone number "Format"

since a couple days I keep receiving phone call from numbers that, I think, comes from Europe. Is there any way to block that phone number format? (obviously im from North America, and want to let number XXX-XXX-XXXX in)

FYI Saudi Arabia, Congo, and Central African Republic, are not in Europe.

You might be able to get your carrier to just block international incoming calls, if you're not expecting thrm, and not have to do anything with your phone.

Samsung Galaxy Ethernet interface needed

Saw a post from Jeam in 2016 where I'm thinking "Did I post this?"
"...it seems to be impossible to download the updates that way, it keeps asking to do it via WiFi.

The problem is that the wife is extremely concerned about possible long-term health issues related to wireless signals, and I would like to keep the peace by doing the updates either by mobile data or by Ethernet..."
Our home became WiFi-free earlier this year and during our final remodel (of 3) we had Ethernet pulled to every room. She uses Apple and has been hooked up since June. I still haven't found out how to connect my Samsung Galaxy 7 (Device name: Samsung-SM-G930A).

ANYONE KNOW how to enable Ethernet as the signal source? And what hardware (dongle) is needed?

Thank you,
Grady

You do know that mobile data also uses wireless signals?

But anyway, Amazon lists USB Ethernet adapters that are apparently Android compatible.

Can't recommend any particular one though, as it's not something I've considered using myself.

Apps Webview app image upload not working

The question here looks almost exactly like what you're describing
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5907369/file-upload-in-webview

"However, in the android 3.0 emulator / AVD, when I click on "Choose file", nothing happens, no file dialog is opened!!!"

Seems to be a few answers, depending on your version. Looks like you need to add support for the file selector in your Android code.

In the end I had a look around the internet and found a chap called Zid who's good with android, I emailed him, told him my problem, he asked for .text copies of my MainActivity and Manifest, then he emailed me altered versions and boom it worked!

save both normal and HDR photo

Hi all
I need to save both normal( i mean SDR exactly) photo and its corresponding HDR photo.
iphone mobiles have this kind of ability that u can save both normal and HDR photo of a scene.
there are applications that save 3 SDR photos and those corresponding HDR. I do not need this. I just want 1 normal photo and its corresponding HDR photo.
please, any one who can help me with any kind of idea, I would be gratefull.

Improper export of android application components

Another thing I should mention. This is an old vulnerability and google has since beefed up code obfuscation. Keep in mind that to exploit this vulnerability you need to know the exact class name which would be obfuscated.

Reporting an app with exported activities will undoubtedly do nothing since this is allowed by google. Google may just link you to the documentation at best.

Virtual Device not showing while SDK and Virtual Device were matched.

I have a problem on unable to run Virtual Device when running the project.
The project SDK is as below:
127526-83379408f8ebeb4959f50eb0c79db954.jpg

and my Virtual Device is shown below:
127527-f929afb8143151ddb832303915cd94e7.jpg

After I run the project, no error was found and there only mention that "Not applicable for the (...) configuration")
May i know where is the problem and how to solve it ?

Can't make or receive calls without rebooting

Just to clarify if there's just a syntax issue involved. Safe mode and Recovery mode are two separate, distinct ways to do maintenance on your device, and are accessible in two different ways. Wiping the system cache partition is not accessible in Safe mode. If you are referring to 'Reset' as Recovery mode and there's no option to wipe the system cache, that's a bit odd but apparently something Motorola implemented for this model. (Perhaps attributed to newer versions of Android that are using a newer partition scheme that doesn't involve dedicated system cache partition). I wouldn't worry about it much though, it's unlikely that wiping the system cache partition (whether it's there or not) pertains to this particular issue of having to reboot the phone to do phone calls, especially given it's such happening in such a random way. More of a possibility than a probability. I'd focus more on this issue being tied to the SIM card. Did you try re-seating it or trying it in your phone?

Help How do I wipe device that has only 2% battery?

Keep in mind that once you do send this phone back, even if there is no screen lock and some tech staffer starts it up, the phone won't have any online access to receive the remote wipe signal anyway. With no SIM it won't have any cellular connectivity and with none of the saved WiFi networks you added being out of range it won't have any WiFi connectivity -- unless you had it set to automatically access any available open (no password) WiFi network (or you have something like Comcast's privacy-riddled public Xfinity WiFi network at home and this service shop is also using Comcast for broadband). But again, this is all just supposition, the odds are the phone gets scrapped, there's no profit margin in repairing it.
But your description on the charging problem 'could' be due to the USB cable you're using. The plug on the end of the USB cable is held in place simply by friction fit so it's a matter of tolerances -- if the crimp in that metal sleeve in the plug isn't making enough physical contact with the metal sides of port in the phone, the plug won't be firmly held in place (the metal contacts in the plug can't transfer power to the metal contacts in the port). Have you tried a using a different USB cable? This won't make any difference if the problem is with the port in the phone of course (e.g. a bad solder joint that connects the port's internal metal contacts to the motherboard). If a different cable does work, this might at least be enough for you to charge the phone so you can copy off any data you need and do a Factory Reset.

Is There an App work as a Remote.

There are hardware / software solutions that do this. For example, here is a WiFi IR blaster with an accompanying app that isn't much more expensive than a universal remote. I have no idea how well this works, but the concept isn't much different than using my phone to control a RoKu over WiFi.

https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Co...argid=aud-801381245258:pla-695201423964&psc=1

Edit: Oh, and the logitech harmony home hub does the same thing, but costs more. That said, I've used other harmony remotes and you don't program them so much as enter your TV make and model number in and it programs itself. You will probably have less compatibility issues with the Harmony.
Thanks for giving information
