What is the best 16gb android phone that I can custom rom?

It's rare for someone to want to buy a phone with a custom rom already installed. That's a security risk.

Here's the title of the thread which suggests he wants to install the rom himself...
"What is the best 16gb android phone that I can custom rom?"

After talking to him in the thread he never suggested he wanted a rom pre-installed. Hope this clears things up.

Thank you

Your explanation is valid and your manner is
courteous and professional.

I keep getting a mouse cursor appear on my screen.

I the same problem. A black mouse cursor which frantically moved around on the center of the screen, with a tiny blue circle around it.

My phone is rooted, so WTF I thought, I couldn't be hacked?

But disabling the GPS fixed it. I think the problem arose when I updated snapchat on my old M8.

Alas!
The frantic mouse cursor is back! Disabling GPS didn't work after all. What to do then?

Help Getting Motorola Maxx HD 926 on Tmobile

Hello guys, first time posting here but I'm really struggling so I'm not sure where else to turn. I currently have T-Mobile for service and my dad destroyed his old smartphone so I purchased a moto droid maxx hd xt926, got a sim converter, and tried to activate it on our service after reading that it was possible online. I know that the phone is locked to Verizon and needs to be unlocked via cdma workshop or radiocomm but I am having zero luck doing so. I can't find either of the apps that are needed to download anywhere and seeing as the phone/situation is an older one, it is tough to find anyone who is currently dealing with the problem. I would sincerely appreciate any help at all. I have no other options for a phone for him at the moment, and I have been going through a lot personally lately, so figuring out a solution to this problem would be a huge stress relief. Thank you in advance for reading this or any help you can offer me! ~Brian

Post bottom menu AND top menu listener issues

Hello all,

I am new to the android studio world, and I'm excited to be learning.

I've been able to get the BOTTOM NAV template working fine, but I was in need of a TOP NAV as well. I am only able to get one or the other to listen together properly.

The project is still pretty simple, since I've only been concentrating on the navigation aspects so far.

If anyone could take a look at the project here and help me fix, or fix it, it would be very helpful.

I've attached the export of the project. Let me know if this does not contain everything needed to look at how things are.

I am also hoping to establish a consulting arrangement with someone that is versed in studio.

Thank you in advance!

Jeff

unable to connect to adb.

First off, this is a development question and should have been posted here:
https://androidforums.com/forums/28

It seems you're on Windows and this is an Android Studio question which people need to know. If you're not on windows or using android studio, then you need to provide the correct details.

I don't use windows so I can't help you, but you should look at the log to see what it says. Also make sure you have ADB and that Android Studio is pointing to it. If you post in the development section I linked above with enough details, maybe a windows developer might be able to help.

Root Samsung Galaxy Tab a sm-t590 android 9 root help

Is it possible to root Samsung galaxy tab A 10.5 sm-T590 android 9, the same as the tab s4 via ODIN? seems odd that they run on the same OS but root differently?

I desperately want to root my tablet but If it's not done by Odin then I'm not confident as there is no video tutorials that are in depth

I have dyslexia so I'm depth (holding hand) video tutorials help compared to the reading aspect

Can anyone shed some clarity on this?
yes....rooting is very device specific. sometimes it depends on the chip used. you need to head on over to xda as @Dannydet suggested to do your research as far as rooting goes. rooting can be a very technical process, so please do your research before doing anything.

i get it that you might have some issues reading up about the process, but this is something that if done wrong, you can brick your device. research is a very important step when you root your device.

good luck and keep us posted.

Help Messaging in Greek issue.

Hello, I know this is a really old thread, but I've been having exactly the same problem on my (really old ) HTC phone. And then this morning, I somehow did something accidentally that switched the input to lower case. As soon as I entered an upper case letter I was stuck back in upper case land again. Even more frustrated now, as I know lower case is possible, but still can't figure out how to get back to it!

Location different

Are you using "low power" (deprecated in recent android versions) or "high accuracy" location modes? They can be misled if Google's map of cell towers or wireless routers is out of date - sometimes very badly.

Try using "device only" location when in one of the places Google gets it wrong and see if it makes a difference. If it does then that's the problem, and it will be fixed whenever Google update their map.
