Firebird vs Camaro

Boy, that's a good question. Yeah, Pontiac died after the 2008 recession reorganization, but had some really nice sporty cars. Would it sell? I have a no idea, but I'll tell you this, that auto makers are discontinuing really fine sedans because they are not selling. Many, if not most people, are buying SUVs. I look down the highway and see nothing but big boxes on the road. It used to be that if you owned and SUV you could easily find your car in a crowded parking lot. No more. They are all SUVs and are many look alike. If you have a sedan? Good luck trying to find it in the sea of these SUVs.

Do I think the Pontiac would sell? Not enough. I don't know.

Galaxy Sensors

Because the phone is making a measurement where you are standing at that time, while those other services are making broad-brush predictions about a relatively broad area at some assumed standard altitude?

You could always check the phone against a barometer (if you have access to one you know is reliable), to get an idea of how accurate its reading is.

Hiding root status is safe or not?

What do you mean by "safe"?

If a device is rooted then user-installed apps can run with admin privileges. This means for example that another app can access the banking app's data - that's why they regard this as a security risk and won't run if they detect that the phone is rooted.

Rooting is double-edged as far as security goes. It gives you more capabilities & more control, so if you know what you are doing you can add protections you couldn't without it. But it also bypasses some built-in protections, and if you are careless and install some malware it can do things it wouldn't otherwise be able to. Personally I'd say that if you are not knowledgeable about this stuff and prepared to be vigilant (one or other by itself is not enough) you are safer not rooting.

Whatsapp Web via mobile internet modem

Hi!

I recently got a mobile 4G Modem as my main internet connection due to moving to a more rural area. The internet coverage is great, everything works. download free ringtone at: https://ringtonesfree.info/

BUT. The modem fails to run whatsapp web, when both - PC and phone are connected to it. When refreshing the web page on the PC, it says "Trying to reach phone. Make sure your phone has an active internet connection."
When only PC is connected to the modem, but the phone is using it's own data - everything works flawlessly. Mp3 ringtones download at: phoneringtones.info

The provider doesn't see any problems on their end.

So, has anyone had the same problem? Are there any suggestions to try?
Of course, I have tried to restart all my devices. Android ringtones: https://klingeltonemp3.info/

MMS VCF problem in message app in S7

I am trying to send contacts vcf file as mms from galaxy S7 to another S7, but it appears as text file instead of vcf file in message app even though send as mms option is selected. The message app displayed vcf file in the format below. Due to this, contacts cannot be saved directly.

Begin: Vcard
Version:...
N:...
FN:Tel:0400..
End: Vcard

Has anyone ever see these symptoms before and / or know if there is anything I can do to diagnose / fix the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Help no command after installing TWRP

That doesnt work. I have already tried.

Appears the following options:

reboot system now,
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update form cache

And in my opinion is because the TWRP app, is not installed or at least there is no record in the mobile of the TWRP. I dont know why.

Any other alternative app to TWRP?

Thanks
I know this is an old thread, but just in case you still need help (and to help anyone else..) There is another recovery, but it sounds like there's an issue with the TWRP install. I would wipe the cache and install a different TWRP version via adb. There are also computer programs that can do all this and more if you can get it to recognise your device. That's been a lifesaver for me in the past.

Hope you got it figured out!

Help MailDroid is not syncing periodically

I've purchased MailDroid Pro to connect to my email account via IMAP. I've also excluded the app from battery optimization and don't have data cap set up on my smartphone (Galaxy S9+ on Android 9.0, no root).

When I have the app set to stay connected in Connection Management, then notifications are working fine. However, I'd rather prefer MailDroid to check mailbox every 10 minutes, so I set up some rules to synchronize periodically (the interval at the bottom defines the frequency of checks I suppose?) - see the picture.

Once I do that, I usually get only the first message in those 10-15 minutes, after more time (e.g. 30 mins) I'm not receiving notifications for further emails. I need to open the app and refresh to download a new email. Do you have an idea what the reason is?

Tasker to gather gps location of target phone

No, you can't. The "target" phone must have software on it that is set up to respond to a particular request with a text containing its location. If you could just send a request to any phone and it would respond with its location that would be a massive security hole, and anyone who released a phone with that built in would be out of business 5 minutes after it was discovered.

If the person you want to locate agrees to this there are many apps you can use to share location with you.
