really? i switched as well but i have not seen any difference. it is the same awesomeness that is tiamat. but whatever works for you. i love this kernel!
 
me too!! i dunno why 3.3.7 works better for me.... it seems to be a mystery suitable for scooby n shaggy to get crackin on lol
 
Count me in as another Tiamat fan. Dev does good work. Kernel is very stable and more fluid for me than SZ. I'm underclocked at 768 MHz running the Smartass governor.
 
the new kernel is out and it looks like the camera issue is fixed. i just downloading it now and will report back if i see any issues.

edit:wooohoooooo! camera works. gonna give this new kernel a test drive and see how it plays out in the field tomorrow.

Any noticable difference between the SBC and the non i guess? About to give this a shot now and wanted to know if i should flash one over the other...
 
Flashed the SBC kernal, looks stable. Just wanted to check if this looks right... the under the cyanogenMod settings and performance the only thing that changed was from ONDEMAND governor to SMARTASS, max cpu 768mhz. that's what's supposed to happen?

You can use whatever settings you want. I suggest smart ass though. Probably shouldnt use set cpu in conjunction with smart ass if you are. Also 768 should be fine and give good battery life, if its not running well you may want to take that up a bit somewhere in between there and 998 are my suggestion.
 
also, when trying new kernels, its a good idea to have your test drive go for at least a day or 2... when you flash a new kernel, the os takes a bit to get accustomed to it and might act strangely for the first few hrs youre using it

The "problem" with sbc isnt stability, being sbc alone wont affect the stability of the system. The sbc changes the way the battery charges. People are worried about plating, overheating, and drastic failure of the battery resulting from those two things. I dont have these worries, some people do. FWIW i only use sbc. SBC stands for superior battery charging and "trickle" charges your battery over what the phone has designated as 100%.

ive gotten the best battery life with this kernal and cm7 then any other ROM. Check out the pic... this is with medium use. im beyond happy

damn yo, you got a notification set from tiamats website? LoL jk big ol thumbs up for the heads up! downloading.....

sidenote: man, i think that theres gonna be support groups for android addicts in the near future, if there arent already.... i cant begin to tell you how much time ive spent on this type stuff since gettin this awesome device, and cant imagine what id do if say, this and xdas sites crashed, or the android o.s. somehow locked us out of superuser access (i know thats just shy of impossible due to the way linux works) but you know where im going with this concept. its almost like the morning cup of joe to check in on all things root lol except i dont drink coffee

hell yeah man!!! thats some killer battery life! glad that this kernel is workin well for ya. ive been super pleased with it ever since some wise fella told me about it. im just rather shocked that htc or google doesnt employ some of these devs. youd think that theyd see the brilliance of their work, and almost feel forced to add them to their payroll

been having that error for a while, site issues. In the meantime Cayniarb posted a different dl link in page not in OP. Its near the end, it was yesterday...just go through yesterdays posts shouldnt be too many.

No im just a bum and troll xda too much :)

Yeah i wake up and go to work and work my way through the threads i havent answered before i do anything lol. To think before this i just had a blackberry i used to check email and make phone calls lmao. If something changed and I couldnt do anything with my phone that i have grown accustomed to doin i would start a riot.

Im all for a support group :). I saw a thread for evoholics but im a staunch atheist and the first post weirded me out, straight ODD :). No offense doofus, dont wanna talk religion on here...
