***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Yeah, thinking more about this, I'm convinced that the London announcement is for the world version of the Nexus and nothing more. I'm still expecting an announcement for Verizon before the 27th. I think the London date was always going to happen.

I understand. But why would Verizon not be involved? Its Verizons exclusive phone, I would think they would like to have the honors.:)
To my recollection, T-Mobile wasn't heavily involved with the launch of the NExus One or Nexus S. They both originally launched on T-Mobile before trickling out to AT&T and Sprint (as was the case with the NS4G). Verizon doesn't HAVE to be involved. HTC launched the chickphone last week without heavy Verizon involvement.

Not to distract from the issues at hand, but is anyone giving any credence to the other rumor that the Maserati/D4 will also launch in November?

Rumor: Motorola DROID 4 Aka Maserati 4G LTE Android Smartphone With Slideout Keyboard

I'm starting to agree with the notion that the D4 was what that horrendous Panda Poem was referring to when it said "the one with the keyboard is what I enjoy".

I would say November seems too soon after release of D3, but the fact that it has LTE makes me think it's possible. Are you into keyboards? I'm not, which is why I just haven't been too interested in those rumors.

Just took me an hour to catch back up. Waded through the delay news, saw a probation handed out, dodged and weaved my way through the torches and pitchforks and ended up here.

Although it's a slight kick in the jimmy for us who are hanging on every word, it's not that big of a deal. I'm just gonna chill, have a few cups of coffee, think about some Oktoberfest that will flow this evening, and probably by the end of the day we'll have a better idea of where things are headed.

Think happy thoughts.

I really like keyboards so I'm definitely interested and have been keeping an eye on HoFo. But really, having interest in the Nexus, the Spyder, and the D4 is just too much for me.

I don't know. I love my OG and don't love DH's X and I can't decide if I'm just too used to a physical keyboard to make the switch, or if bigger screen real estate will make it okay. I'm kind of intrigued by the D4's non-button keyboard. Been lurking for a while on howardforums but the release is speculation over there too.

Sorry! :(

I was there myself two months back. Now I'm on a Curve... (I won't say "rockin'" because that just isn't what is happening here!)

There's a happy thought already...we aren't magdelaine. :D

Seriously that's an ouch! And guess what, that's my backup phone too if anything happens to my Inc. On the plus side, you have that big notification light back and BBM...although nobody left to message. ;)

they mention the same specs as BGR does...

damn you google... how can your flagship only have an omap 4460 clocked @ 1.2GHz and a 1700mAh battery...

this definitely gonna suck, compared to the already existing Galaxy SII...

it's nothing new (except the screen & ICS), no great combination, nothing "BIG" (except the screen), no "Gaming and Entertainment Enthusiast" and really no iPhone 4s-killer (yeah again except the screen)...

the only new, good thing are ICS and the 720p screen, but there'll be many phones with 720p screen and better hardware, like the HTC Vigor, the Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE HD, the new LG-one with 720 AH-IPS display technology...

damn it, both of you, google and samsung, you'll better fix this and come with better (hopefully the gsmarena-listed) hardware when announcing it!

so much hype, such a long waiting time without any specific specs, WE DESERVE A BEAST!

(im not 100% serious about this, but im still disappointed and kinda angry)

oh and btw, do you guys still buy it with the lower specs? i definitely won't..

i still hope those lower specs aren't for real... this just cannot be truth and i still don't know who to believe in... many 'sources' say 1.2GHz omap 4460, our vz_wired guy here says thats not correct, and GSMArena has the only good specs listed, but is the only 'source' for that, and all the other website don't support them...
Again, it is not always about specs! As soon as I bought the Nexus One, the EVo showed up with better specs. The Nexus S launched and then better spec'd phones showed up. It happens. Its how the hardware gets along with the software.

I don't think they would announce it on the 27th and release it on the same day. Hell I would be sitting at my VZN store early that morning to get it. And then be playing with it afterwards and could care less about the announcement. I would think it has to be announced before the day it is released....

I have never, not once, used BBM. :p I'm glad you understand my pain.

Heck, if I can be patient...what is y'all on Andy phones problem??? LOL.

If it comes first, I might give Spyder some serious consideration. Prime seemed so perfect for me. I'm entering another stage of grief.

Agreed. Unless they pull an Apple and release it at 5pm.

I feel the exact same way. I'm starting to spiral, guys.

who cares about the software buttons? If Spyder and Vigor are full HD screens at least 4.5", that's great. They'll get ICS eventually.

And wasn't the Bionic at least somewhat attractive?

It would be sooo easy to just get in my car and drive the 5 minutes to my friendly Verizon store and start playing with it.

Just a little.

That sucks! Hopefully you have an old BB or flip phone or something to hold you over for just a couple more weeks...

Just a quick warning! If you have an unlimited data package and switch to a non-smart phone you will loose your unlimited data!

No way, stay strong. We have all wasted so much time and energy on this phone, might as well see what is up and keep hopes up that it will still be out in November.

Verizon will run their teaser ad campaign on the Oct. 27th to be ready for release on Nov.3rd. Verizon usually does this with most of their phones a week before .

I see a Tomb Raider ad coming soon.....(Oct. 27th)..;)

I can't help but get the feeling that there are many posters in this thread that are either a) really young b) incredibly immature or c) both. So many people come off that it is the end of the world that the device is delayed. It is only a phone after all. You'll all survive the extra couple of days/weeks without it.

talk about a "rebound" affair you would regret instantly! the Spyder has always been in the mix for me. but, after yesterday's leaks, i'm starting to doubt that it can compare, especially if it comes with a locked BL (it might keep my attention with an unlockable BL). but a Bionic?! when we're still only a couple weeks away?! no way, man....

and the Vigor?!? the fact that it's HTC puts it out of contention for me. HTC devices have historically had battery issues. now, add LTE and HD screen to a HTC device?! LTE and high-res screens are the two biggest battery hogs out there, and they are being used in a phone that has a history of battery problems. to me, that just has "problem" written all over it. i'll pass and let someone else be the guinea pig for that experiment.
