Tell me about it. Inc is on the charger for the fourth time today!! I have spare chargers placed at "tactical locations" for just such situations.

I have a 3500 battery and two 1800 batteries for my dinc and sometimes they aren't enough. Skyraider is better than stock but my phone still uses a lot of juice. I'm scared for what the 4g in my prime will do to my batteries.

I thought about the 3500 battery but it makes the Inc look like this:

Maybe I'm a little green but I've never seen a thread convince so many new forum members to sign up. I guess the excitement and the anticipation is just too hard to resist.

About the iPhone 4S benchmarks today... I think this is another reason to be excited about the Nexus Prime. It really shows what software optimization can do. That's the real beauty of Nexus Prime (or whatever it's going to be called), ICS. I'm hoping that ICS will pull Android ahead of iPhone... you can clearly see that GB is not optimized enough for the new multi-core super Android phones. I will give Apple for credit where it's due. They optimize the heck out their software to get by on technically less impressive hardware (except for PowerVR SGX543MP2 that is... what a beast.) That results in less cost for them and more profit.

This is why I have come to peace with having the OMAP 4460 1.2 GHz CPU for the Nexus. If Apple can blaze away using ~800 MHz CPU with software optimization, ICS should do wonder for a 1.2 ARM A9 dual core CPU. I also accept that SGX540 is not the latest and greatest GPU but really I can only think a couple games that really challenges the current generation of Android GPU's. Not that I would be upset if Exynos 4212 1.5 GHz with SGX 543MP2 appears in the Nexus but I'm realizing that the Nexus is really all about the advancement of Android software. Of course that lovely Super AMOLED HD screen doesn't hurt either!!

Anyway, I'm just saying that the Nexus is going to be a great phone whether OMAP or Exynos get chosen. I'm also looking forward to the awesome LTE connectivity that it will hopefully bring. Even AT&T has a few market with LTE now... and Sprint has big plans for next year.

However, I do have one plea to Google and Samsung: PLEASE SOMEHOW FIND A WAY IN HELL TO GET THAT LOVELY EXYNOS 4212 IN THE NEXUS!!

At this rate... you better be ready for 7000 by noon tomorrow:D

Looks like we are still accelerating??

Actually, I think we might not be exponential for long. If you look at the past 3 points, they are about linear. We may have reached a critical rate.

But yeah...so long as someone (*we all stare at The_Cheif*) keeps feeding me with the data, I will keep making them.

We may be approaching a critical rate... but how is the explosion of post going to effect the graph when the prime is released?

Maybe change the units on the X axis to something smaller? That way it can still look like we are rapidly accelerating :D

Depending on what happens in the next couple of thousand posts, we could just be a badly fit exponential. If I want to deal with making the exponent more complex than the current x/constant that it is it might fit ok, but that is a lot of time. Otherwise, we could become a polynomial, but that would require us going back down to >10 or so days per 1k posts to create a flat area between now and the launch rush.

Nkk (who cannot believe he just spent time analyzing the trends of this thread)

Data will keep coming right up to the moment the Prime gets released... then you might not see me for awhile ;)

I could make the x scale logarithmic, but that changed the appearance of the graph, not the underlying equation that represents the data.

Nkk

Also, that may make it look linear if I use a natural logarithm. So...the answer you your post is No. :p

Heck, we don't need a release, we just need someone somewhat reputable to post a dubious rumor and you'll easily see another 100 or so posts within a few hours :D

Wait, no, that came out wrong, we REALLY need a release. But maybe not for the post count's sake, haha

Yeah but we don't care what the equation is as long as it still LOOKS like were moving faster :D.

Can't believe you actually are making the graphs lol

Love the effort

Well our current rate is about 23 per hour (using only the last point to find that), so I would expect a hundred in less than a few hours (maybe one hour?).

Graphs take maybe 5 minutes each. I just add the last data point to the file, and then redo the regression (i.e. I tell the computer to do it, and it takes milliseconds)
