Its been interesting observing how rapidly the technology has evolved over the last couple of years. I remember waiting with baited breath to score an OG DInc to replace my Eris, and was blown away by the performance difference.

I hope the Nexus will yield the same level of improvement; to be honest, I'm getting away from the raw specs and looking more towards functionality and optimization. From my perspective, it would appear as though the Nexus should be able to handle just about anything we will be able to throw at it with aplomb.

If that's the case and there aren't any real deal breakers (non-replaceable battery) then this will be my next device. Sure there will be something better spec-wise in a couple of months, but this thing should be just about as future proof as they can currently make it, and I really don't foresee a situation where it would struggle with anything that would be asked of it... especially if ICS has been optimized for the TI OMAP.

Either way, we are all in the same boat... broken F5 key, Google search for "Nexus Prime" set to stories from the last hour, and eagerly, IMPATIENTLY waiting for the next little tidbit to come out :-D

Honestly, after using Sense for the first time on my Flyer, I think it's pretty nice and quite smooth. I certainly don't want another phone with Blur (it's okay on the Bionic, but not the best IMO). I would actually prefer Touchwiz over the three. But, if no Prime, I might just stick with the Bionic for another couple years :rolleyes:

Unlimited data is great I have it too. But I am usually on wi fi and I rarely hit 1GB.

T-mobile is $89.99 for unlimited talk text and 5GB before they reduce your speed or $109 for unlimited talk and text and 10GB.

I pay $109 now for unlimited talk 500 text and unlimited data
 
Barring a major announcement that makes posting spike, and considering our current posting rate, we should be on pace to reach 7,000 posts by 4:00 Eastern/3:00 Central today!!!

Some short math tells me that we will have had 1000 posts in 28 hours!

(This is my first post in the Nexus Prime/Galaxy Nexus thread)

I followed the Droid Incredible superthread for a long, long time before buying it on launch day. 2 months ago, I crunched the screen on it between my lower fibula (the part that sticks out the side of your foot)and the floor. Now I seek a new phone that lives up to the hype/capability of the D-Inc!

God knows I don't need to hold onto my wife's old DROID ERIS much longer. I think you know what I mean. Yeah that Droid Eris. The Droid Incredible's feeble 97-year old, blind, deaf grandpa...

Anywho, keep up the amazing thread!

Hiding inappropriate comments doesn't usually change anything. Error on the side of caution.

For example, I curse more on here than some Mods so I may let more by than another Mod. We each use our own discretion so no two mods will do EVERYTHING the same. But ultimately we have the same goal...keep this place friendly for seasoned pros as well as noobs... hell raisers as well as priests. Well there may not too many priests that come around here...but you get the point :D

Personal attacks are never a good idea, neither is nudity, racism, gender bashing, etc. You wanna piss off a mod...start verbally attacking another user and regardless of how well we may like you...we've got a big problem with that.

But all these posts here and its been pretty calm. That's why this place is the best Android forum...we have the best users! ;)

Okay...on to more speculation and rumors about the Prime. Game on! :D

I don't think they'd look at it that way, but I like the idea. The advantages of omitting the card are that you save $$$ if you don't need any card (presumed lower initial purchase price) or need a larger and/or faster card than would've shipped stock.
