Also, I laughed out loud at the Hans Solo picture and at Han's post/rant.

Confession: I have never seen any of the Star Wars movies. So...I think I get self proclaimed pass for the Han/Hans thing.

Ugh. I hate people who have this problem. Not that I think the person you quoted does, but many Americans have this problem where Asia is Asia. Japan, Myanmar, India, or Taiwan--what's the difference? It annoys me to no end that way too many people think that Asia is some homogeneous blob.

Occam's Razor and a bag of salt, but I say you're close, here's how I see it (very simplified) -

Iron? A wash to VZW.

Wallet vs. Payfone? (Yeah, and Isis, see my previous post.) A shiny extra with many executives' heads on the block.

Prime owners? Subscribers, as a constituency that can't be ignored.

Subscribers equals more revenue, assured, vs. Wallet or iron? Sure, ok.

Subscriber numbers impacting stock while investors learn to spell Nexus and iP4S? Absolutely.

Most money leveraged, made or lost on stock? Oh, ever so yes.

Highest management decision?

Launch Samsung Nexus on Verizon.

In my wacky, simplified opinion.

Your forgiveness to not knowing Han Solo is overridden by your lack of seeing the movies. There is no forgiveness for that. Little kittens die every day you don't see them. We want a synopsis and 2500 page term paper by tomorrow.

oh hahahaha....I think it's a great question. I personally would love to see this on Verizon. There are rumors of the Nexus being 1.5GHZ so if you are grasping at straws you are doing pretty well :) Keep grasping. You just may pick the right one!
 
Steven - Can you ask the only real question for anyone who is wondering about the screen. Do the software buttons disappear in different modes (landscape, portrait) or can they be toggled to extend the actual screen? If they don't - I can stop following this phone and relinquish the thoughts of november 3rd can't come fast enough.
