Now we have to wait THREE weeks? This is getting frustrating-er every day...

Hmmm...A phone released on a Monday at Verizon would be surprising.
 
If there is a pre-order option, I'm starting to think Nov 3 is not the date unless it's announced in the next couple days. By comparison, Motodroid pre-order was Oct 29 via Best Buy and in stores Nov 6.

Edit: flurry of posts during the time my slow brain was typing.

If I ever feel the need to go to a place where afterwards I'd need to scrub and wash all the lowered self-respect off me but failing (Jersey), I'll beam with you! :)

Seriously, it wouldn't really bother me that much if they'd just come out and let us freaking know the date. End the mystery Verizon, just end it already.

I know a family member that lives in Jersey. This person is a huge mooch and is a stain on our family. Terrible person. If I ever went to Jersey, it would be to visit said person. My self-respect would, therefore, be diminished.

Actually, true story!

This is why the CK & I have the Pessimistic, Doubting Thomas, "Sure, Really?, Sure, Sure, Show Me!, No way in hell, Source Please?" attitude.

The above said does not erase the fact that when I read it I almost tossed my mouse into the screen.

Actually, I agree with Clooney here (compliment from the Lounge thread). When we finally have this baby in our hands, all the waiting and torture will seem like nothing!

Just tell her to hang on, Chief! If she stops breathing, insert a thin straw through the headphone jack and breathe that life right back into her! (Although be sure to NOT have the keyboard out. That will defeat the purpose.)

You are forgiven in my eyes because there is nothing you can do about family.
And depending on where that family member is, there are usually plenty of things to keep you busy elsewhere and only have to spend minimal time with them.

I know I know, three weeks will fly by (or so we hope it's ONLY three weeks). Got the Darling Bride's birthday tomorrow, daughter's on the 8th, preparing Veterans Day speech... real life stuff that potentially distract me from the crawling Gnex calendar.

Now if they can just STOP these delays and release the thing already we can all get back to real life.


Real Life: noun, meaning to eshew all legitimate responsibilities in favor of playing with one's new smartphone. :p

Srsly tho - you keep on using that term and I don't think it means what you think it means.

Maybe you could to go to Jersey to visit nice people there instead - 'vette, BB, Steven.

Maybe I'll show up and we'll have a big party in NJ just for AF Gnexers.

Oh, and no maybe about it - you'll be buying.

Think of it as that 3rd holiday. ;) :)
 
I was hoping for the 10th... that's the day after my 40th birthday and heading home from a Verizon store with a Galaxy Nexus would have been a nice "Happy Birthday to me" present. Oh well, I can certainly wait one more week. I'm not in THAT much of a rush to spend $300. :p
