***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Delay in taking pic is fixed on RAZR according to reviews. As far as quality goes, I don't know and have not researched that since I don't care about pics.

I'm getting the RAZR it's going to be a phenomenal device. No bad choices between RAZR, Rezound or GNex. All great phones....
No doubt.

Just gonna play with them in the store I guess.

Ugh, I hate this feeling just for a smartphone!!:(

Thanks for the info from the source, Steven, but I am afraid that info will only make our situation here worse. It probably starts pushing the speculation towards a delay, but how much, and since we didn't know original date to begin with, to where? One thing is for sure, make for darn sure you are at your computer the moment pre-orders open up for this thing, or it could be a while.

Uum meeting supply and demand did you not read the whole thing? lol I could see verizon launching it with short supply and then if you do not preorder or get one on day one you may have to wait a few weeks.

THis really is starting to set-up to be the Incredible part deux.

Yes I obviously read the whole thing. It doesn't tell us much, hence the question.

What will be the far reaching implications? Will they release on schedule with only a limited supply and a quick sell out? Or will they not want to risk that PR headache and simply put it off until whenever they get the required amount of devices produced (late December, etc.)?

It means "I am just making things up and just need to say something to Steven because he asked and I am in way to deep now and I will cover my butt by saying it may not even cause a delay"

Hey, there you are, CK! Some guy was in here under your screen name earlier telling us not to worry. You might want to ask the Mods about tracking him down. :p

Wow....that's way harsh. :( I guess I'm dead to you too. I never watched LOST either.

Maybe they put them on the wrong boat........... Maybe.......... They found a major flaw and are lying about a shortage...........Maybe the Razr preorder numbers are not up to snuff......... Maybe HanSolo fell of his chair in the meeting..........MAYBE!

This has Dinc Revisited written all over it!!!!

I love Supernatural! And a good new show is Grimm

I just set the DVR to record the pilot that is re-airing on Scyfy tonight and then hopefully I'll be able to watch it prior to Friday's new episode.

I guess it could be worse, but this is really disheartening. I hope they will announce a preorder date soon, so that they can get an idea of the early demand. I don't know how much longer I can wait. I hate having to use this flip phone to get me by.

A little disappointing to hear that without any sign of release date yet. But on the other hand, I like that demand for Nexus is growing way bigger than they originally estimated.

Thanks Hans! My buddy told me to tell you to not worry. The Nexus will arrive on it's pre-determined schedule that NOBODY knows yet. He also said that date has not changed and you only have to wait a little longer to hear it.

If you want my opinion though. I tend to agree with him :)

Maybe there is a delay in the larger battery for Verizons 4GLTE version?

Most likely a shortage would be due to the new larger screens if anything. This could all just be more to stir the pot since they can't meet demand yet there may be a problem and may change the release? Well duh that is kind of common sense a shortage would do that.

As I said, anti-piracy legislation is being discussed here, so that's where posts on this are going now - http://androidforums.com/politics-current-affairs/437469-anti-piracy-bill-faces-controversy.html

Favorite TV shows can be discussed here - TV/Film - Android Forums

We're on the point of learning actual news regarding delivery of the Gnex, and this is a big forum, not everything needs to be in one thread - that's why we have other discussion areas.

Yes, there is a Lounge-ish nature to this thread - but please, keep it mostly on-topic.

The lurkers run off in confusion looking for Galaxy Nexus news might have become your new best friends.

What is this discussion about the Dinc happening all over again? I wasn't active here when all of that happened.

I would think they would release with limited supply like with the iphone. Try and build up more demand with it being sold out and making people get in on preorders early and sell lots of preorders.

Hoping you (and your buddy) are right!

Hi Steven, thanks for the info. Do you know if the issues apply to the GSM and
LTE versions, or just the LTE.

The source is Verizon. They wouldn't know about phones destined for other carriers, imo.

^^Winner.

And yet still losing at the same time. The irony.

I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering what was causing any supply issue. With the Droid Incredible it was the lack of Amoled screens coming out of Samsung. I'm at a loss to figure out where the supply issue problem is, in this situation.

What is this discussion about the Dinc happening all over again? I wasn't active here when all of that happened.

When the Incredible was first released there were massive massive shortages. And we think that VZW underestimated how popular the phone would be on top of that so they were doubly screwed. Many of us had to wait a minimum of 4 weeks to get the phone once the shortage occurred and some of us were up to 6 weeks after we ordered it. People were calling stores and taking long lunches to go get the phone if one was discovered. Verizon gave a different answer every time you called to see what the delay was. It was a nightmare.

Those of us involved in that are experiencing deja vu
