No Nexus news here, but just some fun for those to look at who haven't used 4G LTE. This is a few tests I just took on my Bionic inside my apartment in central DC (I usually get 2-4 bars nearly everywhere in town). Trust me, the web is fast :D

Defining differences between iPhone 4S and Galaxy Nexus -

- Apple announces Siri, most of the press embraces it as new.

--- Android fallout: pissed off iP3gs owners turn to AndroidForums.com for advice on new phone. Seems many did not like the screw job of having an old app, Siri, locked out for them because Apple wanted to foist off an old app as new tech.

- iP4S still sporting Retinal Display

--- Android fallout: HD display trumps Retinal Display in consumer mindshare and imagination.

- iP4S has far superior 3d GPU performance.

--- Android fallout: GPU wars continue to heat up as Gnexers get that superior 2D media performance on a large HD display beats gaming on a screen so small some are wearing strap-on binoculars to see it. 3vo owners everywhere laugh in delight as it dawns on the Apple faithful that their superior 3d GPU comes on a phone that isn't even real 3D.

- Blogosphere goes nuts over both phones.

--- Android fallout: our faithful realize that no one can decide if it's the iP4S or iP4s plus how dumb either looks next to the moniker, Gnex.

- HTC outsells in USA and UK last quarter, Samsung moving more phone iron than Apple now.

--- Android fallout: ok, none, I just wanted an excuse to name 2 Android makers with this mega nose-thumbing. Oh, and Google is buying Motorola, so, neener neener neener, Siri.
 
I am not sure why Verizon is releasing the RAZR first.
I think they should have released the Nexus first and then the RAZR a month later. It would have not impacted the Bionic crowd and they may have had time to add ICS to the RAZR for better sales.

Good morning everyone! Getting a little bit of a late start this morning with tech news and rumors, but I got my giant can of Monster Energy and am ready to get started.

Did anyone else notice that a couple of pages an account labeled as "The Source" posted a message that said "Tomorrow will be a very interesting day"?

Is this the same source that has been feeding us info here?
 
Wow, hard to catch up/keep up this morning! I do hope we hear something today and pleeeaaaasseeee let it be before I have to go sit through the longest class ever tonight!

I honestly believe when we get to 3rd Q next year, we will see Android not only increased their market share yet again, but for the first time did so at a cost to Apple (i.e. Apple market share will decrease).

Although I Don't post much, I've got to say that I'm glad to have you back. I know I don't know you personally, but I think it's safe to say that you do have many friends on here :). I enjoy reading many of your posts and you usually bring a lot of good information, opinions, and much needed humor to the thread. This place just wouldn't be the same without ya.

Don't do it!!!
Again, even though SDcard removal can be useful, ask yourself if you've ever done it in the past. For nearly 2 years with my Droid, I never did even with just 16gig. The only deletion I had to do on it was previous nandroid backups (some of them take up nearly a gig). I don't store much music on my phone as I use a tiny Sansa Clip for my daily commutes' music needs.
For camera specs, I really don't care (obviously YMMV). Folks like Gapi and I may be complete camera/photo geeks, but I would never expect anything from my phone above a quick email or FB update.
Thankfully, we have a boatload of great phones in the pipeline and probably one of the best times ever for VZW folks to choose from!

OK. Well, I made some calls and did some checking.

The Android League of New Mexico has no issue with use of that name.

We salute our New Jersey brother for noting that the Gnex has many fine attributes of the great American West. :)
