FCC Fridays: November 4, 2011 -- Engadget

Hey Han,

Just so you know, that is just a summary of this weeks FCC postings. Engadget has a feature every friday, but the FCC is releasing continuously every day of every week. so it could still come out later today, but wouldn't be included in engadgets FCC friday until their feature next week.

Does it bug anyone else when operators put their logo on a phone? probably just me.

I think that's probably a fake, anyway. We've seen the real Verizon press image, and doesn't have carrier branding on it.

Is the samsung phone thats listed in the fcc, the gt-9210 is that the att lte galaxy s2 ?

Yeah I know they are supposed to be the best hand, but I hate playing pocket As, they always seem to let me down.

It all depends on how they are played, IMHO. Big Slick has a bad rep with a lot of people, but I think most of them play it wrong.

Thanks for that. I was feeling like the Lone Ranger .. poker face .. or something. :D

Your question did provoke a thorough and clear explanation/tutorial. No mention of what she had for dinner though.

Glad it helped and I had a filet cooked rare.

ugh...been there too many times myself. My last tournament I got killed going all in when my cowboys got destroyed by a couple of snowmen on the river. $1000 buy in down the drain and dude had a sh*t eating grin on his face that made me want to put a foot in his a$$...oh well, saving for my next tourney in a few weeks.

Hope you have better luck at the next one!

Thanks. I'll probably just play a few SnGs today and leave it at that. I'm just not in the mood to play long today.

Caught up. phew.

I know, right?

Carrier branding actually doesn't really bother me that much. I don't even notice it on my thunderbolt.

No, that is the international GNex. Canada uses our FCC, so phones destined for them will go through there too. Also means you can use the international version legally in the US.

It was a big topic of discussion for a while on the Dinc forums too. People talked about using sugar cubes to take off the Verizon branding, others said it was impossible because it was below the glass. All in all it really didn't bother me. I really don't notice it unless I'm looking for it.

So I probably missed it but I didn't see where the information came from the 1,850 battery. Anyone have a link? Thanks

Ahh thats too bad i really was hoping to upgrade my phone this year :-(. my captivate with cm 7.1 may be on its last legs soon, massive apps crashing. May have to try out an new rom to hold me over. All i want from att is an lte device with ics otb is that too much to ask ?

I'll check the FCC filings at 4:30-5PM tonight right before I leave work and see if anything popped up, but I highly doubt it.

Is there another way to cook a steak? Anything beyond knocking the horns off and wiping it's butt is a waste of heat. :D

OK, you folks are making me hungry!! gonna have to run by the store on the way home and pick up a few choice cuts and fire up the grill tonight. :)

The GSM SGN is actually 9250, not 9210. My initial Google search reveals a name of Celox, but I don't know if that's recent or not.

Doesn't bother me unless it's monstrous, but on a whim I did remove the logo from the Bionic with a penny's edge no "after" scratches. However, it was not directly on the glass. I bet someone will guinea pig this for you if you give it a few days
