OMG....I finally caught back up. It sucks when my job gets in the way of things that are more important
My GNex summary for 11/16/11
1) So I witnessed 31k this morning and missed 32k this evening.
2) Han Solo became a Verizon Fan Boy
3) Black Friday release date rumors
4) Sister of Solo says week of 21st
5) Steven58 has a good source but types slow (hopefully Early improves this in the next version)
6) BB's avatar is my favorite yet

Just a bit.. it's been an epic journey. The thread may be gone, but we'll still have the forum. Of course, nothing says we can't have a huge after release thread talking about how awesome our phones are now that we have them. And, of course, the things we find wrong with them. Have to keep the manic rollercoaster going!

I just thought I'd let everyone know that I finally prepared my Thunderbolt for shipment (transferred pictures to computer, factory reset, transferred service, boxed up) and am now rocking my sister's WAY old OG Droid (from the day it was launched). Obviously just a temporary phone until Monday

Alright now a legistic question. I am due my NE2 $50 discount, when I log into VZW, that discount shows up. However, the "promised" $50 from the presidents office does not show up. Does anyone know if that $50 can only be applied in store or on the phone with a CSR or if I can somehow trigger it online?

I haven't looked into this, but one thing mentioned earlier is that the nfc antenna is on the battery. Something to keep in mind when looking for a replacement/extra battery.
I noticed this post has 7 thanks', none from mods.
Point of order... AndroidForums.com makes its $$$ by advertising, and you're inviting people to take their page views to conduct more or less redundant conversations elsewhere. I guess if the mods/owners don't care then neither do I, but it's something to consider.
That is a good point. I only got about 13 people anyways. And if the phone is DEFINITELY coming out within a week I may just scrap the project anyways.
Several (at least one?) mods do have links saying to follow them on twitter in their signatures. Not sure G+ is any different.

There have been some generic accessory placeholder pages found (car dock, media dock), but nothing too specific. Nothing about Seidio battery/chargers yet, but they seem like a given for a phone of this calibre!
As for car chargers, any microUSB charger that works with current Android phones should work for the GNex as well. Of course, if you're looking for something to match the GNex's style, we'll just have to wait and see

Seido has a "coming soon" ext battery for the SGSII so I would think not yet for the SGN. They're usually on top of stuff as it releases and doesn't take too long. They make some good stuff, but imo they're batteries are very overpriced. Might have to give her a little time to get some good deals or I'm sure VZW would be more than happy to sell you some accessories.

No way, all this film study and research, it is almost game time. The thrill of the hunt is about to begin! I have been reading this thread far too long. Some people posted in excess of 2k times in here since this started, others have become guides all because they said what? We are ready to celebrate our victory in a new thread where we will complain about XYZ.
Before you know it we will all be together again in the first quad core thread, because who doesn't purchase multiple phones a year! This is why you sign your parents and grandparents up on your family plan, they will never upgrade and you know it. When they need a new flip phone pay cash from the stack you accumulated selling all your previous "must haves."
