That does look nice. ICS on a big screen looks amazing!

Regardless, we're the one's who are paying for it by getting stuck with a (potentially) needless wait.Isn't that Verizon's own stupid mistake for getting into bed with Motorola and the Droid branding?
I don't know.. does he really want to expose himself to a few hundred pages ago when we were all sure the phone would be coming out yesterday/today and the crushing defeat when we heard about the bugs and delays? That was a pretty rough time.
Han, any word from your sister on any developments?

Ditching my laptop in January for this
If I were to see my need for a tablet this would be it. It's bad a_s!
Not bad, more than most of us are getting. Interesting if it can be confirmed if double data is lasting through december. I know some people are anxious about that, and with the GNex confirmed to come before January, would easy people's fears about it.

Excellent question.
I talked to a CSR on the phone a week ago explained I was coming from AT&T but waiting for the GNex and my concern of the double data deal ending before it was released. She noted in my account they would honor the double data deal if that was the case. I am naturally skeptical so I called again today to make sure that was noted in my account and it was confirmed but then the CSR added 'you really don't have to worry the GNex will be released before that promo ends'. I of course then had to ask, 'oh I heard the promo was ending 11/30 so the Gnex is coming out before then?' her response 'chuckle, no the promo is running through December and yes the Gnex is coming out very soon but we are not allowed to say when until it is 'official''.
I tried....
By default, no.
But I will look through the file tonight and see if I can find a way to get rid of it. I'll ping Paul and see if he can find a way to get rid of it as well.
Not sure what the Search button actually does right now though since I don't have a device to test it with.
FWIW...Warning: P3Droid twitter stuff this morning:
MyDroidWorld.com posted those e-mail documents that place the GNex release on Dec. 8th.
PydePypper( I believe a TBH member) tweeted in response:
P3Droid tweeted:
P3Droid also tweeted earlier that he couldn't believe it would have been six weeks before the public gets their hands on the GNex. He got his Nexus two weeks ago...
They could be still trolling like they were yesterday but would it surprise anyone if they pushed off the release yet again to 12/15?
So since yesterday then. Thanks, I've lurked long enough...after reading what seems like over a hundred pages of this thread I thought I should start contributing!![]()
I've never liked Samsung's ordering to begin with, HTC seems more rational to me (home, menu, back, search) and I hate having to re-groove my mind when switching phones, I really do.
Owning multiple Androids with two different button orders is not what I want. While my preference may be considered wrong by others, it's what I like and I just want to use the UI, not stop and think about it every time I change phones.
If I have unlimited data on my tb, will i get to keep it when getting the gn?
Actually there really is no "triggers" per se. They have had a pre-determined time-frame of running their ads for the RAZR and Rezound and releasing new product.I agree with this. Bugs get worked out over OTA updates. However, I think it's very plausible, if not outright likely, that they have preset sales figures that need to be achieved before they release the Nexus (because they don't make as much money on bloat - for those of you inclined to say that a phone is a phone is a phone...I know you're out there). I don't know what that metric is, but I'd bet good money that one exists that "triggers" for lack of a better word the release of the Nexus. If they haven't hit those targets, there's zero chance it comes out black Friday weekend. Or the 8th for that matter.
Only part I'd disagree with is that I don't think the Love Tunnel is close enough to the decision makers to actually offer insightful information, but that's just my opinion.

Verizon is never going to get a Nexus exclusive again because of all this BS. I'm on Verizon but would be happier if all carriers were releasing this phone (especially AT&T with an LTE version). They wouldn't get away with this silent treatment in fear of losing customers. I'm sure Samsung and Google aren't very happy with vzw. If AT&T treated the Iphone this way, when it was exclusive, I'm sure Jobs would have laid the smack down.
Please pass along our thanks and if appropriate, I have a question for him (or you).
Would it be possible to get the HTC ordering of those buttons as some sort of option (or a changed SystemUI.apk)?

This may be my second phone (business), I'm keeping my HTC for personal use (3 working HTCs in the house, they're not going away), so going back and forth will be a daily occurrence for me.
Cheers and many thanks for the info!![]()
I can't be reading 20 dog gone long pages every 15 minutes. its no wonder I don't post in this thread, by the time you finish your post another 2 pages have gone by.

This is a huge concern of mine as well so much so that I called a Verizon rep last night and asked him the expiration date of the offer. He went on his PC to look it up, and had to admit he could not find any end date for it. I know I once saw it ending on November 30th. Could it be they have left the date open? That would be awesome. Its the only thing I am even worried about.
