I will say one thing, anyone trying to say that whatever date Verizon releases it on was the plan all along is gonna have a hard time defending that position from this point on.

I think we are still loking at December 8th, at least that's what I'm going with so I won't be disappointed when the 29th comes - and no Gnex. I think the 1129...date in the add is the date the add "should have been" released. Looks like somebody may have jumped the gun, or they ate too much turkey and forgot to pull this until then :):)

EDIT: Maybe Verizon is throwing us a bone by having this ad go out, so they don't have to give us a solid release date. I'm OK with that actually, because I will definitely be picking this baby up if it is only $199

I would bet this was supposed to be a Black Friday into the weekend sale if it is for real.

Not to mention, sell one of the most anticipated phones of the whole year for $100 cheaper then the rest of the LTE bunch? On what grounds? Because there's no SD card slot on board and there's no memory card included? IDK.....just don't see vzw being generous at all.

At this point the phone may have internal issues, because I really can't see greedy vzw missing sales on Black Friday and cyber Monday! They employ some really high priced analysts that are paid to tell them what the public is craving, and what's really wanted...For them to miss there target zone for this phone is just fishy.

Don't hold your breath, I preordered the first Transformer from Asus and they screwed that release up royally.

There definitely is something up. What that is, who knows.

But they wouldn't price a phone lower simply because of inferiority of the product. If that was the case, the Bionic would have sold at $3.75 unsubsidized. :p

In all seriousness, yes, we agree that this whole thing is fishy. But the $199 can very well be due to the 16GB option and not because of a discounted price.

I would love the 16gb for 199. I stream all my music (wolfgangsvault.com) and have unlimited data. I have an 8gb Eris with 4gb free, and all the music I can listen to, in that 4gb. If I need more I can just drag and drop from my pc. I transfer my pics to my pc and external for backup. If I wanted to hulu I could and I dont netflix. I fail to see why someone would have to carry 70,000 songs around with them.
Please be 16gb for 199!! I'm there assuming I even like this phone I have yet to see!! lol

The $199 ad also says "NEW 2 Year Activation..." leading me to think this might have/may one day only apply to new customers. Just a thought.

As far as teh 16GB vs 32GB deal goes, while it would be pointless and groundless speculation to talk about one vs the other and price points, I for one am one (of the seemingly few) that would actually prefer to pay less for the 16GB. I use slingbox, slacker, pandora, netflix, and audioglaxy. Anything I want to keep with me for flights, etc would certainly be just a few gigs. That's me, I totaly get that others need that larger capacity. I'm cheaper/more poor than I am needing of space ;-)

Ha, I made it that for on Amazon for $0.01 (on Wednesday), but, the delivery wasn't until 11/30. I'll wait until Monday. See if the axe falls at work, and make a decision then. I really want the SGN for my first Android phone, but, that penny deal is hard to see staring at me. On the bright side, I'm hopeful that Amazon will do it again at Christmas when the SGN is out... I may wait on that now anyway.

It's hard to justify spending $300 on a phone when the RAZR and Rezound were available so cheap, so fast. At least with Apple (not counting the first release), you know that they are not going to drop their prices, so, you can feel comfortable buying and not staring at a $200 difference a week later.

Very likely could be ordering the Rezound on Monday though.

For what it's worth, I believe the "formal" announcement of date of sale (12/8) will be on Monday or Tuesday. I'm leaning more towards Tuesday. Yes, it's Tuesday...we'll receive both pricing and release date (from Verizon directly).

I think that it should be mentioned that the Nexus screen will be much more visible outdoors than the LCD on the ReZound. Take your Dinc2 outside and report back on how hard it is to see. Just a minor detail, but worth thinking about.

Here's the lock screen one. You get the ring in the middle if you use GO Locker and choose the "four key" lock.

I can't find the red bat signal one, because I deleted it unfortunately. (I change my wallpapers a lot, and got tired of that one.)

I was thinking that, too, but I can't find anything that says that the SGN has really good outdoor visibility. I thought it would because of the pentile, but it doesn't have the RBGW stripe that would give the white that extra brightness for readability.

I am most likely going to just wait for the SGN, but I can't be sure. If I bail, it will be today, because of the $50 sale at Costco. If I don't jump on that, I'll be in for the long haul.

I just don't know. :confused:

I might go to my local Verizon store to get a good look at the Razr and
Rezound. I don't think I'll be walking out with either one (especially with that Costco deal).

Wait!! Didn't someone say that Costco deal on the Rezound was for NEW Verizon Wireless customers only???
