If you're 100% sure you just want the AOSP rom, the pure one comes on the Nexus.
If you're not sure on that being the number one thing for you, the Rezound is a worthy phone in its own right.
I say this out of friendship - if trying to decide your future with Nexus is wearing you down, do yourself a favor and don't start worrying about what rom will have what capability in the future (and not developed yet) on another phone.
If you went with a derivative of the AOSP rom on other phones ask yourself why.
For most people, it was salvation from crappy performance issues with the stock rom.
The Rezound doesn't have that problem.
If it's because of speed of updates, the Rezound doesn't have the Google phone advantage.
If you can wait for ICS, HTC has committed to have it on the Rezound by early 2012. If you can't wait for ICS, Verizon has committed to having the Nexus by the end of the year.
Those are the facts in the matter, counselor.
PS - A big mega thanks on clearing up that issue on how contract law applies to false or mistaken advertising. Kept meaning to write to thank you since you wrote that up for us!
