This just in, this photograph was taken just after the CEO and CFO of Verizon were asked about the GNex release date.

My best friend brought these to work today for me to try to take my sad away about not having my phone yet.
Still sad but chocolate makes it bearable. Lol.
Those look good BabyBlues. My girlfriend and I just got hooked on their milk chocolate peanut butter cups. They are delicious and have very recently become our new favorite over their S'mores (also incredibly delicious, but after 3 months atop the list, we're sick of them).
The girlfriend hates mint, but I love it so I'll try out the Joe Joe's next :)
If I could also put in a recommendation for a Trader Joe's product? My favorite ever (like crack, seriously):

I'm seriously about to lose it waiting for this damn phone. I thought I was at my wits end last week, now I'm constantly refreshing this thread, droid life and phandroid. I thought my rent-a-razr would help but it hasn't.

My contacts at Verizon are as clueless about the release date as we are. My disdain for Verizon is growing by the second.
Preach it, brotha!

Verizon is really screwed up. I was playing around on their website and noticed that the text message about data usage for my Xoom goes to the number assigned to my Xoom by default. Since the Xoom (and any other tablet I know of) cannot recieve texts, I assumed the texts would have come to my phone. :(

Little things like this are what seperates good customer service from bad service.

So here is some Google Wallet info from BGR and MoDaCo:

Many of us wondered why Google’s new flagship Galaxy Nexus doesn’t support Google Wallet, an NFC-based payment service that the company introduced a few months back. Since Google Wallet is only available in the United States at the moment, it makes sense that it isn’t supported on the HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus. Google Wallet also will not be supported on Verizon Wireless’ version of the smartphone, however, which is set to launch early next month. While Verizon wouldn’t comment specifically on the Galaxy Nexus’ lack of support, the carrier did tell BGR that it is working toward some kind of mobile wallet service. Hit the break for more.

“We’re working to provide expanded services that will provide the best security and user experience in the market around m-commerce,” A Verizon Wireless spokesperson told BGR via email. “We expect to provide access to an open wallet when those goals are achieved.”

Galaxy Nexus and Google Wallet - Android @ MoDaCo

Google Wallet comes to Samsung Galaxy Nexus (unofficially)

Hey guys. Just got my Nexus in the mail from Expansys and I was instantly enamored with it. You guys have way more patience than me, but I can assure you it's worth it.

One thing I wanted to share that I don't remember being said yet is there's an option in the browser under "Labs" that takes away the nav bar and replaces it with a quick menu. Just swipe in from the right or left. Leaves even more room for content. I thought it was pretty cool.

It works great as long as you never want to touch any links on the left or right edge of the screen again. I still use it on my Xoom, but it can be a PITA. I wish they would just add support for a two finger down swipe brings up the tabs/address bar.

Hi Gnexers! :)

I'm back from Real Life, wherein I stopped by Radio Shack for something. Their marquis sign read "$100 off Verizon smartphones" so I inquired about it. Turns out that promo INCLUDES Nexus! :D

That may help some folks out here who are tight for cash but still want to play Nexus with us!

So when Nexus hits the streets, there's a choice to be made:

Do I get a Launch Day phone with $50 loyalty discount? Or...
Do I wait till the Shack gets them and get $100 off?

Decisions, decisions...

9-1/2 days to go!

Lets just suppose (I know, I know) that Verizon has announced the release and pre-order dates.

1) Do we really believe we would have less angst. I bet not - but rather the opposite. You will then have a date in mind when your new phone will be in your hands.

2) The date of when it would be in your hands will spill into another 5000 posts. Can I get it a day early if I preorder? Will you chase down the UPS truck if one passes you on the way home? Will they deliver to work so I am sure I will be there? and on and on.

3) What is the must have app list?

4) Root or not to Root

5) Etc, Etc, Etc. etc.

The angst for the day of delivery will be greater than anyting we now have. I believe, and am somewhat basing this on the Dinc thread, this thread will blow up for a while.

Last questions - What happened to those who a) had a friend who saw boxes in the stores, b) those stalking outside stores watching what comes off delivery trucks, c) those who had "Sources" with info, or d) those with sisters in the know - scratch d) as I know what happened here.:)

Anyway - So many questions

Good to have options. Amazon will probably meet/beat Radioshack on that deal.

So apparently, although the Nexus does not support Google Wallet, it is possible to install it on the device and use it.

Oh, Verizon.....

Nice! I guess the decision depends on how much later The Shack will get the GNex after it's (finally) released.

well, i may, or may not have some information, i'm trying to verify/clarify what i was just e-mailed before i post anything up on here. I know that CSR's really aren't that helpful/knowledgeable about any sort of release information but at this point i'll take whatever i can get, and you all know what i mean, at this point any tid-bit is somewhat satisfying and adds some sort of optimism to the day (until it all crashes down as false and starts a riot/burns down half of the android forums neighborhood.)

I'll post what i get once i get it, hopefully soon(a few minutes).

It has to do with the rumor/phone call that one guy/girl got from Verizon talking about a pre-order starting tomorrow.

Has anyone asked P3 if Google Wallet installs on his Verizon version? This would actually be a deal breaker for me.

Google Wallet is only currently supported on sprint because the other 3 US carriers are working on their own tech called isis. They don't wish to compete with themselves so it wont be available on anything but sprint, legally, unless the other 3 decide to forget about isis and support it. It annoys me too, especially since isis isn't ready and wallet is...

Damn it, now I am gonna have to put off my potty break to F5
:p ;)

The manic meter is pegging again :-)
Sounds like Dec 8 is the day, but the reality is that VZW will announce it when they choose. Clamoring from their customer base/forums/new sites just doesn't seem to make it through their shields.

The unlimited data grandfathering had better not be reversed or there will be trouble!

If not, is this something that the states attorney would be interested in, considering Verizon is trying to push ISIS, and from what I've read that service is behind (timeline) Google Wallet.
