***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I'm not going to be happy if our neighbors to the north are playing with their Galaxy Nexuses before we even have a release date from Verizon..

A few more PRs today, looking like nothing today.

Wasn't the first GN announcement from Verizon sent out late afternoon on a Friday? I'm not saying we should expect anything today since it doesn't seem likely (especially if the device is still in testing and there's still some sort of disagreement around when to release this phone), but you never know till close of business.

Bug-less Samsung Galaxy Nexus lands at UK retailer | News | TechRadar

Good news, the updated GNex's in UK are arriving. Maybe that means Verizon got their batch as well.

This just goes to show that anyone can hop on the Internet, say they spoke to someone important, make their story sound convincing, and then it explodes on the Internet. At this point, unless its coming from Verizon or there is actual evidence (a video of someone talking to a rep, a photo of a poster, etc), everything will be taken with a grain of salt and hold no real water for me.

This is insane.

Re: the Nexus One debacle, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember Verizon ever making an announcement that they would be carrying the phone the way they have with the GN. Didn't Google handle everything from the announcement to the quiet cancellation? Obviously Verizon was involved, since Google's site was using their trademarks, but I don't remember a press conference and multiple examples of test hardware like we've gotten for the GN.

I could be remembering incorrectly, but I seem to remember that anyone who ONLY read Verizon's press releases would never have even known about the N1.

If I'm not mistaken, they sure did say they would carry it. It was up on google's phone order page as coming soon. Google wouldn't have put that there without Verizon telling them to.

So where are you hiding the fake water? :)

Correction: We are insane. ;)

Story of our lives...

who has 2 thumbs and hates VZW.....this guy.

Hope to god that in two years, the other carries actually catch up to the coverage VZW has so I can bail from this crappy ship. But since they are the best, I guess they can treat us however they want.

Verizon never gave the full PR for the N1 that they gave on Oct. 21st for the GNex. If the only info we had were the "Sign up for more info" on samsung's website, I could see it being in the same boat as the N1, but Verizon has announced that they will have the "Galaxy Nexus"

LMAO. This is epic. How many pre-order dates, possible release dates, and etc have come and gone now? This is a cell phone release marketing fail on epic proportions. I've lost a lot of respect for Samsung and VZW when it comes to releasing a new so called "top" of the line phone. Maybe this is why Apple has been so successful in the past with the iPhone has they do not have screws up like this.

This is really getting quite comical as to when this phone will "actually" be released.

Tons. But unfortunately none have actually came from Verizon. Just people guessing and "Woulda, shoulda. coulda, might change Sources" Blaming Verizon for it taking so long is valid. Blaming them for getting our hopes up is not.

Still no official release of the GNexus bug fix here in the UK. It wreaked havoc here on me yesterday, missed all sorts of calls because of it. I love this phone, but this needs fixed. THEN it will be perfect! :)

Why do I allow myself to believe any of the talk and speculation? I am more mad at myself than anyone/thing else. I SHOULD know better. Ahhhhh!!!!
