No my Fascinate was rooted, but I've been out of touch with anything online for a loooooong time (about 10 months). When I moved the Gingerbread leak was just being talked about and was screwing up phones so I never got to do anything with it. The last two ROMs I did install either screwed up GPS or signal so I got rid of both and went with rooted stock.

Voice has never been my issue at all. Honestly, I don't talk on the phone enough to have it be an issue. :) I use the dBm as a reference for data speeds mostly. I know it isn't really that accurate, but when it takes a full 3 minutes to pull up the Google main page and you notice that you are at -110 dBm you can start to make some connections. ;) At -100 dBm I would mostly get 14 - 27 kbps. At -80 dBm I was getting speeds in the 500 kbps range. Like I said though, I was mostly in the -90s so that gave me the 100 - 200 kbps range. Oddly enough, I never had battery issues with the phone either. I'm not sure if mine just sucked or if it is the area.

Yeah, it seems I'm one of the few who still use their phone to talk go figure :D

Signal strength and data speeds are most certainly correlated so I'm hearin' ya!

Hey guys, still catching up on the day, but wanted to share something I just realized while watching a tutorial on google's website. I just noticed that in the new google maps walkthrough, you can be find your way around airports and malls with ease. The GPS even tracks your floor changes (cool!). I was wondering what the barometer sensor was for earlier, but I guess that's one of the main reasons for the barometer sensor (since I remember reading that it helps detect with fine altitude changes). Awesome! And something that the fruit phone definitely can't do. If you guys wanna check out the new walkthrough, the link is below:

Just to state again in case anyone missed it -

Last night my mom saw an AD in a Verizon Corporate Store for the GNex on the TV monitors.

I really don't think they would advertise the device IN a corporate store if they weren't planning on a release soon...

Except we have no confirmation that this in fact happened :) My mother couldn't tell you the difference between an android phone and an iPhone if she had them both in front of her face to reference. Let alone the difference between the Samsung Charge and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Not saying you or her are lying- just saying misunderstandings happen... And having a little fun while saying it ;) Of course it could all be true as well and that would just be fantastic. Just like these latest tweets being quoted and shared. These all sound great and make us feel a touch more at ease, but when next week rolls around and we haven't heard anything from VZW this place will explode again. Everyone keep there heads- because ya know, the sky is falling.

Ok, that is just cool. I wonder if it will work with latitude too. Then your friends or family could all find each other in a large mall or something.

Might be a hint at a 7 am announcement. Or not. I wish I didn't care.
