You can actually make out the zon in verizon in the pic if you adjust the levels. This might be the retail box.

Haha good question! I think at this point a lot of people are ready to just hand Verizon a blank check so long as they get their Nexus!
He already answered this.
I'm thinking that a lot of the corp store CSRs are too lazy to look it up in their computer system, and are just saying "no release date" without even looking.my local corp. store said they have no release date yet for that phone. Fail

Since there have been alot of people calling their local stores. Has anyone asked about pricing?
Hey guys, first poster (I've been lurking a F5ing for quite a while).
Robertlawson, the poster of the pics at XDA came back and answered some questions. Oddly enough, openyoureyes said they are demo/review units, but he claims it is the retail packaging. He also says that there is a stamp rather than a print.
Here are the questions and his answers, certain responses edited out because it didn't matter. Here's the post link: xda-developers - View Single Post - Verizon Galaxy Nexus retail box pics
Welp, got Ninja'd on my first post! Yaaaaayyyyyy!
I texted my sister earlier about what the frak is going on.
I said:
She just texted back:
For the record, I don't actually need meds, I don't think.![]()
Welcome and thanks!
Called four Verizon stores in my area. They all knew about the phone but had no date for it. I think NJ is just not getting this phone.
Verrrrrry interesting -- nice photoshop work!
You're right anything other than my first born child. If that's the case, I'll need 9 months to come up with the funds.
i think the point you are missing is that the leaked pics already show a sleeve. the pic to the far right, with the GNex in it, is the bottom half of the box. the pic to the left of that, with the outline of the GNex, is the top half of the box that fits over the bottom half. then, furthest to the left is the white sleeve that fits over the entire box.
i think the point everyone is making is that it doesn't make sense to have a plain white sleeve, as is shown in that pic. and, your explanation also doesn't make sense - a second sleeve, with the printed logo, to slide over the plain white sleeve???? maybe the printed logo sleeves are being shipped separately and will be substituted for the plain white sleeve at the retail stores, but that doesn't make much sense to me... idk...
Highway 153 Chattanooga
take it easy on the guy...maybe one or two people call to corroborate instead of everyone flooding him?

Man, some forums are sad. The guy on XDA posts the very first pictures of the retail box ever seen, and he gets 19 thanks?
Steven posts he's going to be finishing dropping his latest deuce soon and he gets 50!
Which store did you call? I was thinking to call mine out here in w. Bloomfield
Just got off phone with my local Verizon store and they said there is no set date for the release so they can't even look up in their computer.
Maybe they won't be getting my business then for being so lazy to not even check for me. At least put me on hold and pretend that you're checking the system.
