Michael Scott running this show?
VZW hasn't been anything but ridiculous anyway. This is going to be the biggest cluster fudgesicle on Friday if authorized resellers are selling them and corp stores are not... and then those that bought at authorized resellers can't get them activated on the network. VZW will look ridiculous.
Or... authorized resellers are able to get them activated and corp stores won't sell them. VZW will look ridiculous.
Or... nobody gets them on Friday. VZW will look ridiculous.
See! See! Thats exactly right, I told you all this weeks ago and finally my rumor was vindicated, and people are getting on board the ebe bandwagon!
Verizon can't be that stupid, can they?
LMAO. My god this release is epic.
Store 1: We have no idea when the phone is going to be released.
Store 2: Yeah we got them in and you can pick one up Friday!
Store 3: They in the back, but we got an email this morning the release has been delayed.
Store 4: Come by tonight at 12:01am and we can get you a Nexus.
Store 5: What is a Galaxy Nexus?
Haha it's all over the place man. Has anyone seen a phone launch as screwed up as this one? Holy cow this is just so sad.

Called my local cellular connection and they have the Nexus now, he told me they haven't heard they can't sell them, and if Verizon hasn't told them anything different by Friady, he says come in Friday and it's yours!!
So even if poopy pants Verizon isn't releasing I will have one anyway...
This is my Verizon story.
Just stopped at my Verizon store on the way home and my rep said it's still on for Friday. We talked about the nationwide LTE problem. Half of the LTE phones in the store were still pulling in a signal and the other half were down to 3G. Her Tbolt was still running on 4G.
They have the phones and the accessories. She said there won't be a problem getting one because it's not an iPhone. The store is five minutes from my house. I'll show up Friday morning and see what happens.
I spoke to my local guy. He was frank with me. He told me that he received an email saying it had been moved back, then another saying that it had been restored to 12/9 and now aNOTher one saying that 12/15 is now the day and that they are forbidden from selling it beforehand.
I asked him why, he said he didn't know.
lol
First he wants names of employees who told you a date so he can burn them at the stake, and then he coughs up it himself?
That guy is not a very good manager.
I'm well aware that by the time I'm finishing typing and posting this comment, it will likely be irrelevant and outdated... but here goes:
Theories abound as to why the Nexus has been delayed (or even if it has been delayed). Theories of every sort have exploded, and yet which ones are more likely than others?
THEORY #1 - Verizon has purposely delayed the launch in order to sell more Razors, Resounds, and the like. Everyone loves a conspiracy theory, but this seems highly unlikely at this point, given all of the anecdotal evidence. Internal memos, stores getting stock, accessories being sold... decisions like that wouldn't be made on a whim just to squeeze out a few more sales of existing devices. IMO, this theory is DEBUNKED.
THEORY #2 - Bugs. Yes, we heard various reports of bugs and OS updates leading up to the allegedly "confirmed" launch data for this Friday. However, all parties must have been comfortable enough with the software status to ship stock and send internal memos regarding the launch data of 12/9. At this point, it doesn't seem all that likely that a launch-killing bug appeared suddenly 2 days before the projected launch. As others have pointed out, almost all phones are released with bugs, and if there were any minor lingering issues, it wouldn't have ground the launch to a complete halt after stock was shipped, etc. Theory is SHAKY AT BEST.
THEORY #3 - Google Wallet / Spectrum rules. Okay, I'm sure Google wasn't happy about the Wallet issue. But there's no reason why they'd want to halt the launch of the phone this late in the game just to get that particular issue settled. It could be settled after launch. If stock was already shipped, does anyone really believe that they'd halt the launch just to work this out? Theory is VERY SHAKY.
THEORY #4 - Sim Card / LTE Network Issues. Reports of network issues began yesterday, and reports of sim card activation problems have trickled out ever since as well. And today, widespread reports of LTE/data outages across the nation (though certainly not ubiquitous). My Bionic, for example, does not currently have ANY data (3G or 4G) and I'm in the Midwest. Calling Verizon gave me an automated response stating they they are aware of network issues. The sim card reports in conjunction with the network outages is highly suspect. It's either a compounded coincidence or it's related to the Nexus launch delay. Perhaps they want to avoid issues with activation, or do not wish to tarnish the launch by having widespread network issues. One may ask why they aren't halting the sale of other 4G phones that are currently on sale? But halting sales of ALL currently selling phones is much different than delaying the launch of a phone that isn't out yet. IMO, this theory is LIKELY and seems to BEST EXPLAIN the circumstances.
Okay, now what other theories did I miss? Feel free to add/modify/delete!
I hope that you are going to store #4!!!![]()
wasn't there a guy on here yesterday saying he got one yesterday? where did he go?
he went for a fire extinguisher because his pants were on fire.![]()
Go straight to store #4, get the phone and don't look back.
I hope that you are going to store #4!!!![]()
Or... the guy that's going to Costco on Friday finds out they're sold out of chocolate chip cookies. VZW will look ridiculous.
I'd guess it's a combo of Theories 3 and 4. The Google Wallet thing is actually turning out to be a big deal:THEORY #3 - Google Wallet / Spectrum rules.
