uh oh, Expansys has the Note in stock....that's gonna be tempting.

Edit: They lie. Says in stock, but the product page says ships in 5 days.

Wasn't there someone from Google/Samsung that appeared on Fox news with the phone and talked about it briefly? I believe in that interview he mad mention of Verizon getting the phone and said it was up to them when it was released. Anyone else remember this? I couldn't find the link.

Stay Strong...let's ride this storm out, I felt like jumping ship yesterday and grabbing a Razr or Rezound. You will really regret it if Tuesday comes ad you have to pay $35.

Or if Tuesday comes and you know you are going to save $35 because you've already said "Screw it, I am KEEPING the ReZound"...... ;)

Hook, line, and sinker.

That's the ballgame boys.

The fat lady has sung.

Elvis has left the building.

The Nexus is officially dead.

No way, think about it. If there was any truth to this BGR, Engadget, Droid Life, all the tech sites would be posting this. It's just an unpopular site trying to put a spin on regurgitated news and make it their own.

So looks like AT&T's 4G LTE is pretty fast (spotted on reddit) ;)

Didn't somebody post something Monday or Tuesday about them removing it? I could have sworn I saw that somewhere before now. I'm sure after it got out to just about every tech site that they had one for you to play with they had to take it down.....

For those of you abandoning ship for the iPhone 4s, enjoy your 3.5" screen and 3G speeds for the next TWO years. And THANK YOU!!! You've freed up a few more Nexuses for the rest of us and also freed up a little bit more of Verizon's 4G/LTE network for us to enjoy. So to all of you who are jumping ship, I just want to say THANKS! :)

K, I'm off. Only have a few students tonight, but then the Irish session meets afterwords...so I may not check in til' late tonight. PM me if a release date magically appears, thanks and play nicely!

So with conflicting stories still coming about the phone, what are everyone's plans for tomorrow?

A) Getting to the Verizon store a couple hours early to be the first in line.
B) Showing up as the store opens.
C) Waiting to get confirmation on this forum that they are indeed selling.
D) Snuggling with a bottle of Jack Daniels until official word comes from Verizon.
E) Other, explain:__________________________

E) Going to Costco for chocolate chip cookies.

If you read my post again, you'll notice I said something was seriously wrong with the RELEASE of the phone, not the phone itself. Something is holding them back, and it's not something trivial.

Anyone else think / hope this is a Google Wallet issue?

Would you be annoyed if Wallet delayed the phone til the 15th, but the OTA when you got the phone installed it on your phone?

I would be less annoyed I think.

Ninja'd. Some of us have posted on the legal problems arising from the fact that VZW's FCC lease [Block C airspace] specifically precludes them from blocking services or apps, which is exactly what they were trying to pull by rejecting Google Wallet in favor of their own ISIS vaporware. Changes are that there are some heavy legal negotiations going on, and my bet is that we will see Google Wallet on the Nexus via an early OTA.

Here's my thoughts...

I think someone from Verizon saw the possible "bug" of the Nexus allowing FREE MHS. Someone probably tested it and found that it indeed allowed MHS without Verizon being notified... Right out of the box... Verizon wouldn't be too happy about it. And quite possibly be a big enough oops for Verizon to put a hold on the release.

Just my opinion.

All I've asked my wife for Christmas is my Nexus. As long as it is released before then, I'm good.

I am truly amazed to see how upset people are getting over all of this.
After all.... it is just a phone. As far as I am aware, it doesn't print money, doesn't cook breakfast, won't pick up my kids... it's just a phone!

With that said, I have enjoyed all the drama on here. It is entertaining... But as Steven has said... Let's keep some perspective.

Thanks all!

I played with it several nights ago and that is not the case. When you select MHS a text box pops up momentarily saying "checking for subscription"
