haha true, well i just didn't want to fill up the thread with crap if nobody was interested with what i said.. lol but yeah honestly im coming from a g1 so there no need to oc anything, with all the bloatware removed this device is incredibly fast... i play grand theft auto 3 on this phone haha its amazing... and i like some of the things about the stock rom so no need to change much, just make some themes for the rom and people might be satidfied :D
 
recalibrated my battery and it took like 4 hours to go from 14% to 8% and
another 3 1/2 to 4 hours falling to 0% finally. So came to find out that my battery was not discharging nearly as fast as originally posted. It seem that with setCPU setting priority charging and sleep have inproved battery life. also have juice defender installed seems to work for me. PG's rom is definately an awesome high performance rom and also have the benifit of not a terribly painful battery burner. Great job PlayfulGd.. thanks
 
I'm New at this Rom thing. just wanted to say thank you. I'm loving this my phone is alot faster. there were times when i thought I messed up was scared lol. keep up the good work and where do i donate ?

The first boot is always the worst lol.. Key thing is always make a backup.. I copy mine to the laptop for safe keeping just in case.. PG's donate link is on his first post in this thread at the bottom.. Just in case.. Here it is:

Love the room..only two problems I get..one being that the phone app is slow.especially after waking the device from screen off.another problem is that I can't no longer Bluetooth with mylaptop. I get a settings foreclose every time.any suggestions? Thnx

uhmm. so it seems that the two originally issues with this Rom are the bluetooth, and the HDMI....

some ppl say its works...I think it might be that I restored my data from Titanium. Just guessing because when I was on 1.0 I had no problems with it But I also didnt wipe when i was on 1.0, I flashed without coming from the original Gingersteem (that gave me reboot issues). I wiped and started off with 1.1 instead this time , then restored data.
 
Is there anyway of removing the SD card tweaks from this Rom because for some reason my SD is a little messed up and every time it is tweaked it doesn’t work right. For example, I got the Lg Esteem Optimizer and had to undo the SD tweaks because what happens is when I take a picture or download music it works for like a minute or two then it says "loading failed". Please help I enjoy this rom and would hate to have to undo it because I have a cheap SD card. Sadly I wouldn’t like to buy a new one because this one is 32G and works fine unless its tweak. Thanks
 
I like the Lock screen with this rom. is there anyway to add other stuff to it like Music text slider and camera stuff like that ?

I got the same problem as you everytime i try to pair with anything process com.android.settings force closes and i installed this fresh from stock ZVB to gingersteem extreme. I googled for answers and all i got is another forum where playfulgod suggests to fix permissions in clockworkmod but it didnt work.

It works on the ascend bcz metro dont care about the ascend tethering. How much can you really tether, how much data are u really using? Not alot, theyre blocking the esteem bcz its 4g, but there is a way around it that works flawless changing firefox's user agent via an add on
 
Hey guys my bluetooth finally paired for once with my car. I tried everythong and nothing worked but yesterday i flashed a new theme via CWR and i wiped cache nd dalvik. I also did Fix permissions thing after flashing rom and after a few hours i randomly tried pairing and finally it din't force close:D. I paired and then i never tried to unpair to recheck if i could pair again. So once it was paired i dint take any risk cz finally its working.
 
guys, im working on a rom. its almost complete just waiting on a few ok's from people im borrowing from but if anyone is curious...

it is deodexed stock-ish rom, minor customizations and removed all bloatware
includes the plague kernel and some other playful god additions if he is ok with it.
so if he agrees i will post it here(in the forum lol) and also will provide some flashable themes for the rom..

will provide screenshots soon...

very proud and appreciative of this phone and what the developers have done for/to it!!

Did you freeze Music.apk with titanium backup? If so big mistake, unfreezs to fix. This makes bluetooth problems happen like the plague.

What theme did you use?

Nope i learned my lesson when i was on stock i did do that and lost bluetooth but then i unfroze it and got bluetooth back. Since flashing to this rom i havent done anything that could kill bluetooth. As soon as i was done flashing before i could even install apps from the market i tried to pair it with another phone and process com.android.settings force close and i haven't been able to fix it since.
