Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

:D GPS works.

My test:
Flashed CTMod 3.3 and enabled the /ssm mod in the /system/koumamod file. Rebooted.

:confused: GPS works once in a while as if it has its own mind. I dont get it.

Re-enabled the /ssm. Rebooted.

:D GPS works.

I then used "odin" to flash EJ06 baseband and GPS works both with Data mod and SSM. So freakin strange :confused: lol

Well I know I've said it before but I'm gonna say it again . Thank you for all the hard work you've put in to making our Prevail a better phone . You've helped a lot of people and put smiles on many faces . I'll be getting a Marquee one of these days and I look forward to running your ROMs . :D
 
Was on the new jersy turnpike my gps was working fine...it says stay in left lane..so i do...and it takes me thru the easy pass gate...so a few weeks later i get a pic of my jeeps license plate mailed to me with a 100 fine....thanks GPS
 
I've re-flashed from scratch, FA19 (EJ06 phone), CTM 3.3, KK2.2 w/ SSM, GPS working again, compass 180' off :/...

When GPS not working w/ KK /data, compass was 180' off. SSM got GPS working, compass still 180' off,,, :(

With my compass flipped, if I flash ROMS between exits, will I neggate my easy-pass tolls? :p
 
I think I fixed the GPS issue, except I forgot my phone at home, so I can't test the new Kernel.
I don't want to release it without testing it first

Looks like the Prevail's GPS doesn't like the KoumaKernel /data mod. I haven't experimented with the Super Saiyan Mod.

UPDATE: The SSM option in the koumamod file does not break the GPS. I'm attempting to add another partition to my SD for the dalvik and see what affect (if any) is has on the GPS.

Got a workaround for you. It's pretty lame.

If using /data mode, after booting, open your favorite terminal app.
run:
mkdir /data/gps
chmod 770 /data/gps
chown 1021:1000 /data/gps


reboot
 
I dont know if anyone else haveing this problem with this rom but I'm having a slow download speed from the market replacing my apps. Also I keep getting a pop message telling me something is wrong with google.

"The application Google Services Framework(process com.google.gapps)has stopped unexpetcedly. Please try again."

How can this be fixed?

i used TitaniumBackup PRO, it just fudges everything up...
just use the ClockWorkMod Recovery system, do a RESTORE then advanced restore, and choose the date of the latest backup, hopefully your did one before flashing new rom...after you choose the date, then choose DATA and sd-EXT folder...reboot, whala!

Then goto GOOGLE PLAY it will ask you to agree to the T&S then youll be good to go.

Is there a TOOL to increase the phone volume, i know about the volumefix.zip from earlier versions, but i want to make sure they are the same, by using a tool or somehow comparing them i saw the file from volumefix.zip, its, numbers,negatives,positives...all randomly jumbled together. but without a reference, i dont know what those number are to...im thinking maybe the voume MIGHT have changed...i dont know..sometimes i hear a difference, sometimes...

the volume fix is included with 3.3, theres no difference in the files.
 
I got that google problem fixed but now the buttons at the bottom of the phone dont work well. In fact the home button does not work at all. I press and nothing happens. What is causing this to happen now. I like this rom a lot and the new theme hexed. I wanna make this work right like before. And I lost quickpic from the rom too.

don't restore stuff from old versions of the rom onto 3.3 and you won't have any problems

No problem . I started using Waze when we were having problems with Google Maps . I still use it on occasion because it has a lot of cool features . I really like the speed camera and other icons that people can add to the map when they find them .
 
Thanks guys its working great now and much faster with the new rom update, I even went in to the hexed theme and made a few updates myself.

Thanks Bloodawn for a great rom again.
 
I am still getting the press to unlock on my phone calls. I just reflashed my prevail to 3.3 & had my wife call me. After I slide to answer, the screen darkens & says push to unlock. I thought that was removed from the ROM?
