btw I want some opinions here. if I can make patches from Shins roms would anyone like me to attempt to make an update app so we can update to the latest update without having to download and reflash the entire ROM?

Shin has made update zips in the past just not often
 
Sorry guys i didn't get to test this new update really good before my phone crapped out. New phone should be here today, so tomorrow i will go over the update and try to figure out whats going on. And i do like the idea of an OTA update app. I think that's awesome. Seems Goo.im wont give me developer status since i don't have it over at XDA or here. Which i'm changing, Phases is setting me up with my own subforum. Hopefully today or tomorrow.
 
Sounds like I'm in business here soon! I just gotta get past this weekend before I can do any work on it. But I do have ideas for it :D

Still thinking on what would be handy to have. And It probably end up being called Shinjitsu Customize and Update (have only been up for 20 min so i may change once I get my bearings)
 
yeah i fixed it using super manager. delete the apk. icscamera+ and just download the free version and it works fine man. thats what i do for apps that keep force closing or something along those lines


and also if you use google music and want to update it your gonna have to do the same thing with super manager and just download the better google play music
 
btw i really love the rom shin! its so fast and even my data seams to faster where it didnt work that great!!! i love everything about it. i dont care about the wifi much because the reboot time is so fast it doesnt even matter!!! hands down i wish i could donate to you man! as soon as i can i will!
 
I'm using Beta 3 and everything has been great, no wifi/bluetooth problems, but my UI looks very different from the screenshots? Everything is so dark, such as pop up notifications, confirmation popups, and the notifications are all gray/black. It's very difficult to read those messages. Is this normal right now?

It is a bit difficult to read sometimes unless you turn up the brightness under Settings -> Display -> Brightness.
 
Yea I did that but no luck I just rolled it back to the beta 2 then the update. so now Im going to update to the beta 3, then do a factory reset in cwm as well as fix permissions THEN reboot and see if that works
 
If you do a factory reset after you flash the rom... What will you boot into? O.o there would be nothing there :P

its been a while since I did one but for me it just removed all user data and apps so it was just like you flashed it

Edit: I forgot I just did one 2 days ago and it just made it go to a clean install

You have to give more information than that. Did you just flash the rom? Which rom did you come from. If you came from a different rom did u factory wipe data?

Did you clear both caches before flashing? All of these things are important in helping you

OK so u need to wipe data in cwm. Then clear cache. Then go to advanced and clear dalvik cache. Then install from zip ..then reboot

That should be good but remember the first boot may take up to 5 min because its rebuilding dalvik cache. If you have the same problem Its probably because you came from b08c stock rom. And you will need to flash the b08 rom stock rom before flashing this rom. Keep us updated and I will walk u through it. I get notifications for this thread on my phone

It actually worked I didn't install the beta 3 one. It actually was fast just 2 minutes, thanks, works great and it looks amazing!
 
I have another question, is Beta 3 stable? The reason I installed the non-beta ones is because I thought the beta ones were unstable, are they, I would like to know before downloading any apps.
