I followed the instructions after reading everything I could find and installed 2.3.1 on my HD2. Seems to work well so far. I have had to reinstall all my apps one at a time, but other than that, no issues.
Will let you all know if anything gives me problems if you guys are interested.

Recently got android running on my hd2 - just wondering about data charges.

I have an HTC HD2 running Android. How do you turn off programs/apps on the HD2 with Android so they aren't running in the background and sucking up battery life and memory? On the HD2 with Windows you turn them off with the Task Manager, so how is that done with Android?
Thanks
Steve :)
I got an HD2 running froyo. It is not a dual boot with froyo on the SD card, but a full install. Even after a hard reset using volume and power buttons the last owner's GMail account and other apps remain and can't be deleted. I added my addy and then tried to delete addy #1 without success...
I just bought an almost new HTC HD2 with Win 6.5 and Android installed on the SD card. The problem is that Android is running really slow, clunky and buggy.

I have questions about Android on the HTC HD2 but don't see a specific category on this forum for that phone. Is there one for the HTC HD2?
Thanks
Steve
I was wondering who I had to beat over the head with my 7' crow bar to get a new forums made?
There are people that are getting tired of their HD2's running WM 6.5 and are now running Android on them.
Thanks!

in the meantime I will...
So every time I boot my hd2 up with froyo, I get to the HTC logo, but then the screen brightness setting kicks in and the screen goes dead. I can't get to the app without the screen working. Anyone have a workaround for this? Also, sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum :|
