Baseball 2023

It's a confusing hard day when Boston plays Atlanta but the Sox won so yay! Don't tell the kid I said that though haha

I've been to old Yankee stadium, Shea, Truist Park and Fenway. Fenway is amazing, the history oozes out. Same with old Yankee and Shea (but Fenway is the best). Truist is a great park but new and clean and, well, there.

Need to get to Wrigley and Camden at least...on my bucket list.

I watched the Royals game tonight. It typical fashion they gave away their lead in the top of the nineth and had no answer in the bottom of the inning. They continued in normal fashion and let the Twins take the lead in the tenth. The Royals managed to load the bases with one out and with a full count Bobby Witt Jr hit his first career walk off and first grand slam. I was shocked!

The Royals had a strange ending to their game with the Mets tonight. The Royals let the Mets let the Mets take the lead in to top of the 8th and answered in the bottom. No score in the 9th forced extra innings. The Mets put up 2 and the Royals answered with 2. With the bases loaded the Mets brought in a new pitcher. Before the first pitch, he was having problems with his communication equipment, and inadvertently balked in the winning run. A pretty cheesy way to win a game.

how do you feel about the trade with my Dodgers and your Royals? Ryan Yarborough for Devin Mann and Darlin Figueroa ( a couple of minor leaguers). we need pitching so i'll take it. but there was no big trade!!!!!

and screw Eduardo Rodriguez for not wanting to come to the Dodgers. he is on a losing team with Detroit. i guess he just wants to stay a loser, rather than a winner with my boys in blue.

The Royals traded off Nicky Lopez for a pitcher of questionable value. I personally think it was a sorry trade. True, we need some quality pitchers, but I don't think Taylor Hearn is an answer.

Trading off Scott Barlow made sense... his arm has been dead meat for a while. Perhaps he is saving it for this trade. As for Ryan Yarborough, I think you made the better trade. We are not short of decent infielders. I think Royals management just wanted something to do.

That sound right Bear. You wait and see, he'll perform at a high level for them. We were using him as a closer... mostly because we had no shut down pitcher for that inning. He was okay. I didn't dislike the guy. It seemed like it wasn't a big deal to Scott. Perhaps he was saving himself to play on a team that had some potential. And if he was, good for him.

well most of the games we lost lately have been in the closing of the game, i like Hader he is okay but we need some good closers.

The Royals beat the Mets again. That's a five game winning streak for them. That's one seventh of all of their wins this season in a week of ball. How crazy is that?
maybe those trades they did is actually working.

my boys in Blue did not really make any flashy trades like in the past years, and i am fine with that. they did not give away their farm system to win now. i think the trades that we did make will for sure will help.....how much? we shall see.

anybody like the trades that happened for your team? any trades you hate from other teams?
