the Dodgers will be retiring Fernando Valenzuela's number.....finally. the Dodgers, just like the Lakers, will only retire numbers for those who made it to the Hall of Fame. though his numbers were great during Fernando mania, his later years were well below average and just do not have the numbers to make it in. so the Dodgers decided to make an exception and will retire his number, tomorrow. the tickets for that game are sold out. and any left are ridiculously priced. so i will have to be force to watch it on TV tomorrow.

I'm glad KC got the one win they got from Boston. I'd never be able to look Clem in the face again if she had swept my great ball team.

Well no team has quite the suck magnitude as the Royals. My son was over and we were trying to secure lodging for the eclipse next year so I missed all but the last out of the game. Guess that I didn't miss much. Good job Boston!

wow the Braves scored 21 runs in the 1st of a doubelheader. they hit 6 homers in that game. i know of course it was against the Mets who are terrible this year......BUT THAT IS INSANE!!!!!!!!!

In very typical fashion, the Royals gave up two runs in the top of the 9th to fall behind a run. In not so typical fashion, they had a two run answer in the bottom of the 9th. It was a fun game and took a lot of bitching from me to squeak out that W.

i am just curious as to how the rest of the US feels about my boys in Blue. i know that the Yankees and the Dodgers are probably the most hated teams of all times. you can probably throw in the Houston Cheaters as well......lol

I don't hate on them but I've never been a fan. Growing up in the 50's, everyone around here hated the Dodgers. Not so much hate once they went West. I still hate the Yanks. Looking through poor Kansan eyes, those NY teams seemed so rich and could buy the best players. All of the rest of the teams got the leftovers.

well Gonsolin just feel back down to earth. he pitched 3 2/3rds of an inning allowing 10 runs!!!!!!!!
