Okay im sorry zombu i appreciate your help but that is not rapture i refuse to call it as such due to pressure i released it early and strictly as a beta if you guys want the bluetooth to work just switch to a non oc kernel and it should be fine and until future update your free to remove the animation and sound they will be edited i dont have the required tools to do this right now i live in a tent as i stated ill be going home in august and then ill break out the updated ver 1.1.0 thank you all for your support
 
Hmm thats aright man everyone has a different taste on how a rom should look like and you said to have at it and do whatever

Its not that i dont like it its just its MY ROM and right now its just a pile of crap i want to make it better and i will i just feel like if i let someone take it and alter the way it is as of now it loses its feel zombu i appreciate your help but i need to make this ROM and people need to be patient
 
Well if you feel its crap atm thats up to you i think as it is right now it is better then what it was since some stuff was broke and now it works

I might take the time and mod my own rom but this was a nice learning experience
 
zombu, I believe your intentions were good, we need more ROMs and I made similar changes to this ROM as well so there is value to what you did, just start a new thread, call the ROM your own, give credit to Rapture for the starting point and have at it
 
I did not hijack his rom i have been asked by him to fix what i can and mod it further in no way have i tried to sell it off as my rom i have been asked by him to do it per pm

I do not want to cause bad blood here but i just wanted to clarify it

Every step i took has been handed to him in a pm so he knows whats going on
 
Well i just feel its wrong im sorry theres no bad blood i know my rom isnt great it wont be till i fix the problems i just felt that you adding stuff wasnt necassary i said you can fiddle with the bluetooth not add other unneccassary stuff like i said no bad blood your intentions were good
 
Ive seen many people take other people's ROMS and build off of it, mod it, theme it, and sometimes even destroy it, but then turn around and call it their own.. But they rightly did that because they changed the existing ROM to be what they thought was better. Building from an existing stepping stone, but as Mr.Bobo said.. You can thank him in the credits and all is well, unless he doesn't approve of it. Just don't name it the same as his rom, and give credit where credit is due. We are a community.. We build and learn from each other..

Thats what im saying I don't wanna call out rapture he altered it so therefore it's his moded Rom not mine and again no bad blood hes free to make his own ROM and build of mine but it wwont be rapture
 
Good call apollo. I do agree with you. He should not have posted the link to beta 2 without your consent with all of his fixes, and boot ani. I know that pissed you off a bit. But he did help so move on.. You can use the fixes on your ROM and improve from there and he can do the same if he so wishes. Sounds like a clear cut case of DEVELOPMENT to me. :)
 
For the record I am running the pseudo-Beta 2 and it is running smooth. No real issues thus far and thankfully no boot loop! You may not like the ROM but it does run well. Good work Zomb!

The thing is im not going to change the initial kernel is shinru has it updated with the fixes then I'll use that im keeping the OC for the people who can use it people need to be patient I know this Rom had problems its only a beta and I encourage him to make a Rom this phone need more of them if he so chooses to build of my Rom then kudos to him this Rom is fast from completed

We have been in contact every day 2-3 times a day and now he claims to not know anything about what i did ..ok.. not cool but ok

Im not saying i didnt know what you were doing but you did not inform me you were adding apps i took out to clear space you did not get my consent to release that beta either you should have handed it to me for me to release and i would have given you credit im not on here all day you should have waited for my okay to release it it should have gone through me before ANYTHING happened

i don't want any credit for anything , all i did was clean up YOUR mess like YOU asked me to and adding HD browser to the rom was not cleaning it up nor was adding huge boot ani which you could have easily shrunk

oh and i quote: do whatever you think is necessary

i fixed YOUR bootlooping and bluetooth including the rom running smoother and without force closes and what do YOU do ? YOU give me hell

Whatever dude i really dont need your help i was being nice about this but your really going to act like this? I told you ylu could fix the bluetooth you removed the animation which is unnecessary because theres going to be a smaller version and adding apps that are.not.needed for system is not necassary i got rid of those things for a reason the stock browser sucks no one seems to complain about ehich browser is there.your just trying to take up more space with a caculator and notepad those things dont need to be system apps im not changing any apps in the ROM and honestly i told you i appreciated your help it WAS appreciated and.i could have used your fixes but i felt like you altered my ROM to much then you released that link without my go ahead without me even running it through my phone so all in all you wasted your time WHY DONT PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS IS A BETA?? seriously guys im homeless i dont have a computer i cant do all the things you guys can do if it wasnt for shinru this ROM wouldnt even exist i really dont mind people trying to help yeah but seriously im sick of this crap im done im not going to release an update until people can show respect theres the few who do and to them its appreciated i dont need someone to rip my rom apart yeah cool you fixed.the issues but you altered to much of my ROM

Don't be like that. I've been waiting a long time for a stable rom and looking forward to your rom. Don't punish everyone because you feel disrespected by one. It was just a miscommunication. Team work guys and good luck on you and zombu working relationship.
 
Humility and being humble is the best approach. Standing your ground when you altered his ROM and posted a new beta without his consent is wrong. You should remove that beta.. Make a new thread with the new ROM name and do whatever you want from there.

I like apollo, and I think he did what he could when he could with what he had.. YES you helped. YES you DID alter stuff he didn't consent to. THAT is what he is mad about. BUT like I said before.. It's cool to alter things and make your OWN ROM and create your own thread. Don't call it his if he didn't do it nor consent to it.

You see where I'm coming from?? Just call it what it is.. We don't need modders or devs to bounce because they can't get along with one another. You have differences?? Fine.. People do that, but don't make it public and don't let it interfere with what you are doing for the community. I really don't want the moderators to come in bashing skulls ya know?:pound:
 
Okay guys, took me a little while to read through and digest this thread...

Sorry to hear that some wires got crossed that resulted in the rift discussed above.

Sharing and collaborating can obviously be a tricky business, especially in a forum setting where you don't have unfettered communication with each other to make sure everyone's on the same page.

Anyway, let's hope that a little time and distance will allow cooler heads to prevail and let fences be mended here.

Thanks for keeping things mostly civil and limiting the cleanup here to just a few minor tweaks.

i use earpiece i also fixed permission but still same problem i cant wait til next update to get it fixed because i love this rom it is super fast.

Sir i will wait until the time is right for next update as of right now i have no problem using my phone without bluetoooth i enjoy this rom and appreciate
your hard work to create it.I also think donation is a must at least on my part which i will take care of it this week.

Well elbayames thats mighty kind of you i will accept donations if people wanna give them so i will make a paypal you guys can donate too and i promise rapture will be updated and have as little issues as possible elbayames your very patient and polite and that makes me happy it also makes me happy your truly enjoyiing my ROM
