Thanks GChild78. You know too much to have stayed lurking so long. Instead of waiting to see what's going on, I can't seem to stop myself from blundering into forums & annoying people.
I just did nandroid & it took ~ a gig of storage. When I got the card, the 32GB was maybe $5 more than the next smaller one, so WTH. I have 25GB left. I'm sure it's a weenie card size for a lot of people, but mine won't fill up too soon

I'm not familiar with launchers. It looks like a tool to customize/personalize the look & behavior of countless interface parameters. (Is interface called UI on phone?) What does Holo Locker do? (I did read blurbs on PlayStation)

Probably asking the impossible, but is there some kind of feature that lets user store email addresses & paste them where needed, kinda like autofill?

Thanks. I love learning new things (especially when it has to do with technology) and lurking around reading thread after thread, you tend to pick up a few things. I'm more of a trial and error kind of guy. Believe me...I'm surprised my poor Warp has died on me. I've tinkered with it too many times.
32gb?!? That's pretty big in my book. I use a 16gb.
Holo Locker changes your phone lock interface. For example, you can change it to look like ICS lock screen.
I usually just copy/paste info like that (hold down on selected text) so I can't help you there. Sorry

It's big to me too! I wouldn't have gotten so much storage, but the price difference was so little-- it didn't make sense not to get it despite being such a low-level user. I figure there must be people around here who would feel cramped with it.
Had to look up ICS lock screen. LOL.. I have a hard enough time unlocking the phone in time to answer calls as it is! Maybe I pass on that one ;P

Titanium Backup is awesome. It would be worth rooting just to use it. The automatic backup time default settings are in the early morning hours. Will it somehow run backup when phone is asleep or should I change times? It sounds really dumb, but it begs the question: why are defaults set that way?

I'm just trying to remember which version of HB liked my 64 gig card. HB8 Final definitely doesn't like it. Every time I went to Power Amp it froze up. (I know, the warp isn't made for a 64 gig card, but one version did like it, and never froze.)
Ya know how I likes me music! If I'm not mistaken, it may have been 5.0.4 or RCII. I'll finger it out.
(if it's made, it's made to be tricked!).

Find a root explorer I'm the market and go to system, media, audio, notifications
So I downloaded the rom fresh on my pc and transfered it to my sd card. Did a full format/install and my tethering is still not working. It pushes the signal but nothing can connect to it... Idk what the problem is. Anyone else having this problem and/or have any suggestions? Later I'm going to go back to 7 again and make sure it worked there but I'm 99% sure it did.

8 doesn't have any bugs as far as I know, aside from memory management issues that prevent the phone from going more than 192 hours with no reboot (I should've taken a screenshot, longest uptime ever for me)
I'm about to check tethering, I haven't touched it since I integrated it and themed the settings menu. I know tethering via usb works, but I'm not sure about WiFi tethering. It should work just fine since I never actually messed with it after integration.

Well 9 is gonna have to take longer so I can fix out more bugs that are appearing now... I'll have to start the rom from scratch again to get rid of issues that have appeared throughout releases then

iWireless is on Sprint network (maybe Boost is too?). 4G isn't in Knoxville yet. According to Sprint site it's already available in several smaller TN towns within a 100 mile radius, so it's creeping close... probably a matter of months.

Hmm... depending on the phone and the development community I might consider it but not if there is little 4G in your area as 4G is just a waste off battery life in your case

Get a grip! It's not all broken-- only a small proportion of functionality needs fix. Get some perspective... read back through some recent posts-- lots of happy campers. It's a great ROM!
You saying tether is broke then? Also, does mms work at all in 7?

Was just looking on forum... the Flash has an 'All Things Root' thread, but to say that rooting is in its infancy would be stretching things
And no iWireless--they're on Boost Mobile or SprintBTW, I think ZTE should have picked a different name. 'Flash' could get a little confusing in root discussions ;p
Looked at some online reviews & they are a lot like the Warp reviews-- variable. My experience with Warp has exceeded reviews (except sound volume), but then I don't have $$ for the kind of phones they are used to.
After 4G gets here, there are bound to be other sales now & then.
Besides, there's a lot to learn having fun with newly rooted Warp!

Uh oh... started playing with Holo launcher & my drawer button disappeared. It might have happened for another reason... I don't have the the knack of moving screen icons yet & tend to stack them a lot of times when putting them on the desktop. I might have removed button trying to unstack icons

I believe it does but I think HB7 was a bit of a battery hog. I might be wrong though. It's still a good rom.

I did that once lol. I don't remember how it is I got it back but you might want to try clearing the data cache for Holo launcher. You're gonna lose any changes you made on it though. It's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

Stumbled onto another way...
- Do a long tap on the desktop. Select the top menu item: Launcher Actions.
- New menu opens. Top item is App Drawer
- Select App Drawer. It puts App Drawer icon on desktop. Drag icon onto Dock

Before I found the above way, I tried clearing data from Launcher. You don't have to lose everything... Launcher has backup/restore. There are 2 parts: backup Settings & backup Desktop Shortcuts. Launcher puts them into an SD folder
Looking at screen after clearing data is not for the weak of heart! The desktop is demolished! App Drawer was back on the dock, but I wasn't sure how to hold onto it through restoration process. Probably should have tried putting it on SD card, but didn't try.
Restore was easy-- first did settings restore & then the shortcuts. After restoring, icons were in exact positions as before. All I lost was a widget. Settings came back just as I left them.
Probably good to do Launcher backups anyway... ya never know!

lol- Yesterday I didn't know what launcher is. A person can learn a lot around here
