Its not coming out anytime soon :/ besides I have the changes in my dev unit, running pretty good. But there's still more to be done, a few kinks to buff out, etc.

is there way for data to be turned off automatically when screen goes off then turns back on when you turn the screen back on?

Sorry for the late reply, but I found the command. The new PowerNap (v3) will have this feature, with a couple extra tweaks to follow in v4. :)

I really need to make a PowerNap thread lol

You're making a new powernap too? There really does need to be it's own thread so we can keep like different powernap "tastes" on it for people to dose which one they want :)

Yep, I've been meaning to build a new one ever since Blyss asked for a feature to modify the CPU speed based on whether the phone is plugged in or running on battery (planned for v4) but I've been running v3 for awhile now and it's been pretty slick. The biggest surprise was how much faster the phone charges while plugged into my PC at work. ^_^

I decided to go for the 4G LTE ZTE Flash (i-wireless). Not totally used to it yet. There's much to like, but there are a few things I prefer on the Warp, esp with HaloBean 8. So far, there's no real dev on the Flash. Despite talk on forums, I haven't been able to find actual recovery or rom. However, thanks to Skinny I am rooted :)

I'll be lurking here, asking the occasional generic question-- aside from info that's specific to Warp, there's still a lot to be learned on this forum. There's a Flash forum here too, but there's hardly any action in it

Here's a generic question for you: is there any way to change individual ugly icons? I don't want an entire icon set... just want to change 1 or 2 obnoxious ones.

First Flash screenie, FWIW:
(installed Holo Launcher HD-- better than ICS interface)

It's no major issue.
I mean home screen icons such as Titanium Backup or the stock messaging icon (which is a truly ugly color).

Hmm... you can download an icon pack and with holo launcher you have the option to change the icons of apps, even individual apps. I don't think it applies in the app drawer though. I actually did it with a few of the apps on my home screens, to make everything go together better

Holo launcher won't let me change individuals icons-- it applies the entire icon pack (which isn't so bad after all). If I put messenger icon on the dock, I can make it lots smaller so it;s not so in-your-face. (Dunno.. I like that color on Android Man but really don't like Messenger Man. life has it's many disappointments) :p

EDIT:
Forgot to mention that when holo launcher applies icon pack it covers both desktop & drawer icons

When you apply the whole pack yes it does. Move icon to desktop and long press, a menu should pop up with options

o_O
I'd never have guessed that sequence. Just what I wanted!

Edit:
Guess it was always there but I didn't check it out. Thanks :)

Edit2:
Edit3:
Having another OCD moment here...
Edit3 is replacing Edit2 from last night. I rebooted phone with result Skinny described above-- changing icon on desktop does not effect icon in drawer. Why did I doubt Skinny?
As I said last night, somebody take this phone away from me before it's too late

I'm gonna deodex the rom again, after some studying it turns out that deodexed roms are only slower than odexed on the very first boot when the dalvik virtual machine rebuilds the cache and the first boot after a dalvik cache wipe. Hadn't known about that, so It'll shrink the rom down a bit again when I deodex:)

The new PowerNap script for HaloBean is working great! Sets the cpu to conservative min 122 max 248 on screen off, and it's saved me tons of battery life so far :) on top of that, there isn't any wakeup lag with the reduced settings :D

Here it is for those who wanna give it a go before I drop HB9: https://copy.com/PVT1wYjKL834VSN6

VERY IMPORTANT: Before installing this script, use a root browser to navigate to /system/etc/init.d2 and delete S09sleepyhaloz otherwise you will most likely have to reflash the rom or delete the file via adb to restore functionality. After it has been deleted, it will be safe to flash the new powernap script!

HOLY CRAP I FORGOT TO MENTION YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE OLD POWERNAP FIRST DAMMIT

If not it'll freeze the phone or maybe even worse!! D:

I hate stress I'm forgetting these things -___-

A little taste of how much battery life the script has saved me yesterday after flashing my own HaloBean RC5 (yup, I already made 5 Release Candidates...)

About 12 hours on battery! And the phone only dropped from around 95% to 61%
Then 45 minutes charging before I leave for school, and its nearly done charging too! It charges way faster now, and its also getting about 2945-3095 in Quadrant Standard every time I run a bench, haven't gotten a score lower than that since flashing :)
I still gotta fix tethering, and I figure its just an issue with Settings.apk so I'll make a flashable this afternoon to swap out Settings for the old one from when Tethering was first integrated... if it works, then I'll have to rebuild the rom from scratch
