Currently running HB8, lately my extended batteries are not lasting a full day when they used to last nearly 3. I know others have mentioned battery drain also so I won't go into any detail. Also looking forward to the next release.

I wanted to mention a possible bug in the camera app, the one that comes with the rom is timestamping my photos for 2002! I checked the time to make sure it was correct and it is. I dl another camera app and it timestamps correctly so you might want to delve into that for future releases. I hope I did not just give you another headache! lol

Thanks, that info really helps! I noticed the camera app bug as well only a few days ago, so I'm looking for a suitable replacement.

2.75 RC2 eh... seems like that was the absolute most stable release for everybody. Gonna check it out after I'm done with Android Kitchen, finally got around to setting up cygwin correctly and k have to say ITS A PAIN IN THE BUTT
 
Damn... after going through my changelog, I realized that I can't start the rom over from scratch because it'll take waaaaaay too long and I'll end up forgetting about it... I'll have to find the places where the rom is "broken" and only replace those and modify if needed. Hmmm... I'll start off with the settings.apk. I'm gonna need to deodex the entire rom again first however, and that's gonna be a witch with a B >_<

After the deodex, I'll have HaloBean 9: RCX ready to upload here for y'all to find ALL the imperfections you can, from tethering not working, to the signal meters not being the same shade of blue as the clock (it actually is the exact same color, I checked, checked again, and again ;) OCD much?)
 
halobean 9 with the best battery! I think if you told me how you did that wizardry, you'd hafta kill me, so I'm not gonna ask. Be waiting, though.
 
Cygwin has been a total pain... It finished downloading the packages after all night and I give out a sigh of relief...

Cygwin goes "LOL NOPE" and proceeds to the install screen D: its at 93% at least...

EDIT: Install finished... another sigh of relief and then Cygwin goes to the "Running" screen Dx THERE HAS TO BE AN EASIER WAY
 
Skinnyjeans...Know your working hard on this.....I've been following thread..getting up enough nerve to try to change from stock rom.. As my warp slowly seems to be "dying" on me such as phone speaker only works when its set to speaker phone, restarting on its on at times and while maybe Im trying to have phone do to many things at once at times it just seems to be freezing and I have to wait for it to catch up.....
It seems your rom may be the best for my situation however what is status on tethering to pc....I do need that function....In my present situation I do need to run internet via phone at times
 
Its at the top of my list, I just can't seem to figure out how it broke when all I did was theme it and move things in the menu... I'll revert it back to an old version and see if it helps, but I need to remove a big chunk of the rom first
 
ITS FINISHED!

Now I finally set up Android Kitchen correctly (after a year -___-), and I'm deodexing the rom now. After this I'll make a test build and see if building through AK and modifying the zip/ unzipping does anything different. Hopefully thats the case
 
HaloBean 9 RC:X is now uploading! I don't think tethering will work in this, but need y'all to check just to make sure. I'll test out other things myself, I'm on my way to Cleveland, Texas to visit a friend so I won't be able to make much progress the rest of the day. Remember, need people to be SUPER critical for this one release, if the GPS is one second slower when locking on as opposed to another release, let me know! I need to know EVERYTHING is working as it should before I drop HB9 and start making different rom "flavors" for download. There will be a Full HaloBean ROM, a HaloBean Essentials ROM, and a SkinnyBean ROM, so people can pick the version they want. Then I'll also have other add-ons later on, after my mid-terms, probably during the holidays I'll be able to work on it :D

Gonna have to reupload later when I get back home... bad upload again.

Also, the tethering issue is not a problem with Settings, which is where everything is for that... y'all have any ideas where it could be? Cuz I got nothing right now, I'm stumped >_<
 
Also, I've started a project to bring back Halo ROM, but with everything updated. Gonna add new powernap, update all apps, add tethering to it, maybe slim it down a little, and add adreno tweaks. Other than that, I'm trying to make it the most minimal rom possible. No theme for it either, its gonna be pure minimal. My old theme for it should work though since I'm not changing much from it, so if someone wants theming it should work. Or I can just port the theme from HaloBean and it will work fine since HaloBean is really Halo under the hood.
 
Lol... SJ, do you keep as many as 3 brain cells on classes when you're at school? Or are you on Christmas break? (Actually you seem like someone can do both)

Christmas break doesn't start til Friday when school ends, and I don't keep them on ... too lazy :P I really can't do both, its either one or the other. Right now I'm working on SkinnyHalo while watching Gravity in class (nothing to do this period) since I can't do rom work and school work at the same time unless I'm writing about it for english :D

Halo is running great, but it does need a few touches for performance
 
First minor bug while in the pulldown menu and select restart or shutdown u have to re swipe upwards to select ok or cancle

It hasn't always been that way? :o

EDIT: It must be because of the smali edits that I did to make the status bar full screen and appear over the rest of the status bar. Toast notifications won't show up there as well... I may make the background translucent again if that's the case.
 
Ah... crap... didn't know that, I never use those options since they're in the menu anyways. Don't think it's such a big issue though, just an inconvenience... It'll have to stay because I don't think I can go back and revert that change (too much smali man took me like 10 tries to get it right)
