Whoa thats crazy...thanks for testing that out for me though. I gotta check the updater-script and make sure that it's the proper one... kinda new to Android Kitchen but I've toyed around with it alot and I've pretty much got it down. Its just the install script it makes is trash...

How did it work in 8!? I swear its broken for me and broken for others???

Android is so much fun sometimes -___-

EDIT: Its the updater-script... wrong one :( this one is absolute trash I need to put in the right updater-script. The Kitchen can be stupid sometimes...

Ur more than welcome its the least i can do four ya in return for ur .work and as far as them working in 8i manually enterd everthing on phone and pc and use a proxy illa keep tryn and playin w wat half. A 9 download i got seems ok really just not sure y it says install abort..????

Its because of a bad META-INF folder in the rom zip that Android Kitchen adds in to run the install process. Its not really meant for our devices setup, so every time I build I'm going to have to replace that folder with one from an older HaloBean/SkinnyHALO release. Gonna upload RC-XI (11) in a few minutes when I'm done building it.

I had the same problem Dslack did so I decided to download SkinnyHALO and so far...I'm lovin' it! Lol. It's smooth and fast just the way I like it! My only problem is I kinda miss the 4GLTE icon. :(

Still tinkering with it but it looks like I might keep it! Great job, Skinny!

EDIT: After installing all my preferred apps, I decided to test the rom with Quadrant Standard. Here is the result:

Sweet! I can't wait! A Touch of Ice Cream Jelly Halo theme works on it too. I was having a hard time last night cause I caught a case of the "dumbs" and was trying to install the CTMod version lol.

Sorry man am still not gettin any love from wifi/ usb teather even w everything entered manually script ran great tho thanks

Yeah, if it works in SkinnyHALO, then I can port the settings menu and then retheme it to make it look like the original.

My Brother,... You did good. I like it . Fast and clean. I just now flashed it. I'm loading my apps back up thru nandroid.. But so far so good. This is beautiful. Like I said a long time ago,"simple, clean, and fast"! This bad boy will rock-n-roll!

It still needs a little bit of work, its really clean since I haven't done much to any of the system apps themselves. Not even a custom platlogo, but I am thinking a new boot animation for it. I just need to add wifi tethering and a 4g LTE icon to it (which I think I have a white version that was unfinished lying around somewhere) to call it complete, for those who want something super lightweight and slim, but fast :)

HaloBean 8 just would not work for me. Took forever and a day to boot up, was painfully slow and would freeze and/or reboot at will. Tried a reflash with the same results (I used superwipe before both attempts). Restored my HaloBean 4.5 backup and the issues went away.
My Warp is 2 years old now and has saw a lot of texting, data and phone usage so it's probably about worn out internally. My wife's Warp was doing the same thing mine was with HaloBean 8 and she uses her phone as much as I do. It was also bought at the time same as my Warp.
Since there are no other complaints I'll just write it off as a phone issue and not a ROM issue. We replaced our Warps with the Samsung Galaxy Rush but will hold onto them for backups until we replace the new ones.
At that point, if ROMs are still actively being developed for the Warp, we will donate them to a couple of Devs for testing purposes or whatever else they want to use them for. Kind of a small way of giving back to the community. It may be another couple of years though.
Skinny, I appreciate all of the work you've put into trying to improve this ROM for one release to the next. Thank You. I'll try HaloBean 9 when it's ready for a final release and if I can get it to work correctly I'll probably just leave it at that so it's stable in case it's ever needed for a backup.

Yeah the boot up is a bit slow... HaloBean 9 had to be rebuilt correctly. The incorrect build process I had to go through is where a large part if the issues are coming from in halobean. Try out 9 when its ready, its built correctly and that slowness you're talking about should be gone in 9 :)
Nd sorry about all the issues you've been having, I'm working my butt off trying to fix all that because I'm sick of it. Its been a year, it should be perfectly stable by now. As of right now, the only issue I'm really having is with tethering and I can't seem to find a solution... maybe have to rebuild from scratch even if it takes forever. I just gotta go through my change log and hope I got everything I changed down...
