Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] n00b (B10 based) VIII.II FULL Install 1/23/2013

MrBobo, may I request that you put a link to the kernel version you're using on the OP please? A link to it on your dropbox would be even better :D I have so many kernels stored from DTM that I don't know which is which anymore haha Is it the one called OCv0.5.4_1.8Ghz.zip? If so I have it.

Thank you MrBobo for your great work and thank you sooo much Smoothkaos for your suggestion. My precious phone is back to working again, just have to start over. Way worth it. My phone no longer freezes/reboots on its own like it was (3+ times a day). Love this forum!

Well I tried re-downloading and re-flashing this ROM again today, and I'm still getting the same problem...never boots past the first grey android screen on 1st boot (I've waited like an hour at the most). I've factory reset, flashed back to stock, flashed from stock recovery, flashed from cwm and twrp, flashed from stock b10 deodexed, and it just doesn't work. The grey android bootup screen is still leftover no matter what ROM I'm using too so not sure if that points to a problem. Any other ideas?

Edit: I also can't get CTMod n00b'ed to boot up for the 1st time either. It sits on the alien bootup screen forever. I can run other ROMs such as CTMod and Warp Cream Sandwich though.

Please follow the instructions carefully in the op found here.

Why is it that you always have these problems? Jus sayin!!:D

But its always you. Or your phone, or your wifes phone, Jus sayin;)

IDK, my issues are done and over, I'm simply tweaking things to make mine better.

And my wifes is barely a month old, and it has been happening for a couple weeks now...

My suggestion would be to wipe your sd card, format it, then put the full version on the card, boot into recovery and install, wipe dalvik and fix permissions and you should be good to go, if not then I would look at possibly have a bad sd card, might try another card......;)

You have a defective phone;)

You mean the easiest instructions in the world? Lol ya, I followed them exactly. I tried formatting the sd card too. Nothing helps. I wonder if starting with maybe n00b VII and updating from that might work better? I don't see a link to that version though.

Got a feeling its not the rom, but your sd card, I would try another card...

Will try. Thanks.

Defective phone!!:)

Could be... Or could just be that the phone doesn't agree with something. Who knows.... But I'll be trying to figure it out, tis why I posted... Who knows how many might have that problem down the line, and search here and then they're going to have an answer, or maybe they're having the issue and not even realize it... No such thing as a s....d

Please give this a try : When in doubt use the zte handset update tool to go back to factory set up then backup and format sd card check that signal and everything are good and then reflash the full install. Maybe first check your account too withboost and make sure something isnt messed up payment wise.

Please report back...

Tried a different sd card. Still won't get past 1st boot screen . Oh well. Hopefully CM10 will work ;)

Try the advice above too go to complete stock using the zte handset update tool wipe the sd card, report back...

Just checking, you are on boost mobile right?

The kernel is one dtm packaged just for me and I edited the ramdisk so the only way to get it is from the rom zip itself

I have n00bVIII.II, all working fast and ok, but sometimes my bluetooth have issues: I hear ok but who called me did not hear me, if I turned off-on bluetooth then sound turns ok again. It is like the bluetooth device is sleeping. Sometimes is disconnected at all when receiveing a call (I cannot hear nothing but icon shows it is connected).

I have that bluetooth problem not only with this rom, even with my old HTC EVO 4G had it, but is just sometimes.

My solution right now is just turn off bluetooth if something is going wrong in a call.

any suggestion ?
