Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Warp OEM 2.70

Hey! This rom is super fast, but today I encountered a really, really bad problem. When I boot the phone it freezes on the blue "android" screen. I tried plugging it in to my computer, and it says that windows can't ID the device and it has malfunctioned. So I can't exactly adb reboot recovery on it. I have CWM installed and everything, but I can't access my sd card or CWM from my computer. It froze up and randomly rebooted as I was uninstalling UC browser. Any ideas how to fix it? I can't really afford another phone at this point in time...

Thanks

Sounds like a soft brick, I would keep trying for recovery with the phone itself, no computer, yet.

If you can boot to recovery, flash a nandroid backup or the rom again. But deff, try for recovery using the phone only first.

Just got into CWM somehow...had to pop out the sdcard and power cycle the phone a couple times. Not really sure, but I just "wipe data/factory reset" it from CWM. Is there anything I need to do to remove the alien kernel and stuff and go back to stock so I can redo the whole rooting and everything from scratch?

Really no need to re-root, and all that:) If you have cwm, you can go from there, flash a rom or a nandroid backup!!:D Whew, glad you got it back to recovery mode!!:D

I usually do a factory data reset.
wipe both caches,
Then flash back a nanny or the rom again.:D

So I do "Wipe Cache" in CWM? I'm familiar with the flashing part though.

Wow! Thanks! super helpful. Phone should be back up shortly.

EDIT: PHONE WORKS. time to reinstall this rom. Hey Merc, where's the setting to fix the glitchy screen due to the removal of the limiter?

Sweet!! Cant wait!!;) This has happened to me several times:( But I always recovered out of it, Their is a super wipe tool available here you should download to your sd-card and just keep it on there for emergency's:) You just flash it the same way you would any other rom or theme, wipes all kinds of stuff when doing a new Flash of a new rom.

EDIT: Use this along with the factory data reset tool.

Hey, first off welcome to the forum, and to my ROM!

This is just a thought, but how long did you wait on the blue Android screen? I know the first boot can take forever, and I'm thinking that maybe - just maybe - the freeze-up you experienced was just a loooooong first boot?

In any case, sorry it happened, and here's to smooth sailing from here on out :)

I had your mod for a while, couple days at least and I waited on that screen for a couple minutes more than it took on the first run. It froze, unfortunately. It wasn't the first time it randomly rebooted either? So far the rom is running well, so kudos to you for making it!

Thanks for all the hard work! :]

I replaced "30_SwapServiceStartup" script on "init.d" for "00zRam" (also on "init.d" but in Halo rom) then rebooted. I got an 6102 Antutu score after that. Everything works perfect, like before but seems more snappy:D.

I have a question if you flash the smoothness zip does it affect the overall speed of the rom?
