Root [Boost Mobile] [Root][Recovery]Ultimate warp drive!

YUupp I'll release a patch... oh wait I can't because system.ext4.tar is tar'd... well crap. Yeah I'll have to.. oh wait! I can just add it to my script and do adb push! :D this is gr8

edit: In theory anyhow. I'll have 2 test it

can you start a new thread or re-write your OP, I think this is the way to go for CWM and the data restore fix issue, a one click cwm install that also puts the corrected file in the rom so restores work. It's really confusing out there how to get all this to work for noobs and we have a lot of conflicting old threads on this topic.

ive installed and uninstalled and opened and closed and have done every other thing explained but it still wont install drivers just sits at "waiting for phone" no matter what i do. why cant it be as simple as the prevail was ?:confused: windows says no drivers found but ive downloaded them 30 damn times?????

You must install drivers for your phone. You can get most of them off an installer package directly from your phone. And the other is usb_driver.zip and wont be installed until you reboot to the green android (bootloader). We cannot make a process that will install drivers for you. Sorry

I did all of the processes and then get to bootloader and it sticks there. In the cwm script, it says it's going to recovery but phone doesn't go. I end up having to pull the battery then the phone boots up normally. Perhaps I have it, I don't know. I never went into stock recovery before doing this but cwm is usually in green text but I'm still in blue text (stock?). Any suggestions? Any other indications the cwm took?

EDIT: First I'm running Vista 64bit. Phone is N860B01. I am rooted. Well, I got the script to make the phone go to bootloader, gets stuck, I pull/put back the battery, and press power+vol up, no cwm. Drivers are all good. Even tried what double b26 did in post #71 and still nope (for XP only?). I've updated all of my drivers every which way but loose, nope. I tried the clockworkmod with support files and one click script, nope. I have used PDANet for years but only for using the phone's 3G, however, for my PC to talk to the phone I HAVE to enable USB storage. The way it seems, the people that use this method with PDANet are implying that they don't have to enable USB storage? And if they are enabling, what's the point of PDANet? I don't see how. SOOOooooo, I give up. I want to get a CM7 custom ROM like I used in my past two rooted phones but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. I've spent last night and today the past 5 hours and frustrated. LOL Just laughing it off.

Alright.. Let's start from the beginning. I have downloaded the zip to my computer. I have also downloaded pdanet and synched it to my phone. I have my drivers installed on my phone.. NOW what??

Never mind. I got it all figured out. Thanks guys though.

Ok, not sure of how else to put this. I am annoyed. This is the last of several times I have tried to root this phone, android movies app claims it is, and won't let me rent anything because of it, so I would like to get the benefits of rooting my ZTE. I have updated all of my drivers, I have PDAnet installed and connected to my phone, I have superuser.zip on my sd card... The one click just scrolls through, as if not trying, or not connecting at all.. Oh, by the way I have USB debugging on and the other one about letting outside apps access.. I also tried the other one listed, I forget the name... Either way, they both do the same thing, just scroll through quickly, not connecting at all, and ending. I don't know what else to do, personally.

Man, I have to hand it to you n0ve.....you made happen what I couldn't and because of you I figured out what I was doing wrong as well. The key into getting this installed (and surpisingly nobody said this in their fixes and if they have I apologize because I never saw it) is that you CANNOT turn on USB storage on the phone. Just leave that button alone and the batch will work.

Thanks again n0ve, can't say it enough

Why isn't this thread sticky? And snake cleanup your first post and include everything that is needed to make cwm work right and just give credits to everyone... It pisses me off to see how disorganized the warp forum is.

hmm? I included ADB and instructions.. what isn't working about it? Feedback is appreciated. However, I have yet to make my ultra one click which has been delayed due to life.. I'll get there don't worry.. may take a while :p

Yeah I ditched this project and I will be making an all-in-one solution for everything (you can choose what you want to be done). Root + CWM + driver install() + cwm fix.

I got motivation and its time to get busy :santaclaus::pepsi:

edit: decompiled superuser.zip, implementing into script... (this should be easy)

Most of this depends on if CWM recognized ADB or not (I believe it does)

When attempting the 1 click process my warp doesnt want to reboot. Stays stuck on the little green android. i also noticed fast reboot in general doesn't work when using reboot widget. Any suggestions anyone?

when it reboots into fastboot it should stay with the green android. If you let the process run through, it should work

So has anyone had the problem I am having, or am I just being dumb? I even went onto youtube and followed knoxville's video to the letter... I am not sure what else to do!

After installing I keep getting md5 mismatch when restoring backups, any ideas on why I keep getting this?

I told everyone I would get my new re-do of this script out today.. I was wrong. I have been sore most of the day to the point where typing was difficult lol. Not used to exercise :p

well I got mine rooted took a bit but got it done and it's still not yet even activatied yet for me to use for making calls. I am still using my prevail till I get this one set up the way I want .

BIG BIG THANKS to everyone on here for getting this phone rooted so we can have some fun with it. So far I like it much better the the prevail and look forward to installing a custom rom and doing some theme work on it.

I used the one click root to root mine and watched the video on youtube and followed right along with no problems.

Serious progress has been made in developing and refining an ultimate one click solution for this phone. I've been working on this for about 4 hrs straight (since like 12:30 pm today) without break. Right now automatic root works, cwm install works, testing out jbrd's data patch. This is the one thing that will take a while, I have to do a COMPLETE factory restore from the update tool to test this properly. This takes a lotta time lol. :pcguru:

A HUGE THANKS TO #CYANOGENMOD-DEV OMG U GUYZ ARE THE BEST!
(don't worry it's still 100% my work ;))

Working:
- root
- cwm
- TUI (text user interface)
- data patch

WIP:
- factory reset (Signing hroark's rom's)

Planned: (these will get implemented as soon as im done with whats in testing)

- ReadMe (this will be last)
- FAQ

Rooting the warp on this has gotten ridiculously easy again with this :santaclaus:

edit: I worked on this thing yesterday from about 12:15 pm to 12:30 am with little breaking.. curses signing!
