well I followed that to the t and I still see the wifi icon randomly pop up then it usually freezes right after that. Any ideas?
 
My phone vibrates like normal. Just check always vibrate in system settings and also check it from the settings on sms msgs list screen. Also the build.prop tweek worked for me but sometimes I need to toggle it twice. All in all everything works. Daily driver.

That fixed the vibration on my phone as well had to go into the message setting and select always and it works great now
 
OK so I know this convo has come up b4 since beta 3.. and I remember someones answer was use hroaks kernel.. but I am using swap and beta3's kernel supports it (downthemachines kernel).

My problem is I can't change my keyboard to one I just downloaded. I can uncheck swiftkey3 and check the new keyboard but its not staying. I already rebooted and fixed permissions. Still won't let me use the keyboard I want..

Do we have any known solutions for this other than suggesting using another kernel? Even a temp fix just long enough to change it will be great

The way I was able to get this to work was having wifi disabled rebooting then installing my SwiftKey x. Sounds odd but it is what worked. I had the same issue with the warp cream sandwich mod. Be sure to disable reboot then install.

I've always liked swift key. But I'm using this new one now and I must say, I think it beats swift key. . It's called "ultra keyboard" pro version. . Supposedly it's an jelly bean keyboard ported to work with ours. It's similar to swift key but it is highly customizable and way more options. . Like swype typing that I missed while using swift key. .I highly recommend trying it.. I'm not sure if it's in the market so feel free to pm me :D

Recently I have stopped receiving notifications from the eBay app and occasionally other notifications, would this be included with the kernel issue that others have experienced, should I flash down with the machines kernel?

His kernel is already on beta3. . It could be that you don't have sync and background data turned on in your system settings. . Check it and Report back. .an easy way to tell is if your signal bars are gray it's turned off. If they are blue then it's already on
 
I know I don't have this phone but I will try to help.

When your data bars go grey it means that your Google services aren't being synced properly. This is related to an out of date token. If you clear data on your gmail app and sign back into your account, then reboot for good measure this should fix the issue. Be sure to check to see if your apps are set up to sync as well. Sometimes I have overlooked that myself.

The rom is nice but there's a few problems i'm having with it. When i try to dim my screen using the widget it doesn't dim. I try to set up password it doesn't set i have to restart the phone. The grey color u can't really see it. The black on the send button while u writing a text message would be nice to change it in a different color. Another problem i'm having is while i'm talking on the phone no one can hear me. When i put stock rom back on i have no problems.. Has anyone ran in to this issue?
 
have anyone tried to play a game on this rom like modern warfare on this rom? I tried to play the London 2012 game and it keep force closing. Could it be a ram problem or our phones cant handle this type of gaming?
 
The warp is very limited on ram but!!!

Downthemachine taught me how to use swap... It needs his kernel to work which is what is on shins rom.. It's like making a sd partition but not on the sd card. It creates a file in the system memory at a size u choose to be used as extra ram... There is no writing to sd at all!!

For instance the warp has 380 or something megs of ram.. But with swap enabled I have over 600 megs of ram.. Check out this screen shot.. If you use android emulator and type in free it will show you your total ram, and used ram, and available ram..

By the way we should probably take this to a new thread because us discussing games and ram isn't exactly Shinjitsu related...

I'll see if a mod can move the last few posts for us.. :D
