Root [BOOT ANIMATION] [MOD] COA - Call of Android

Only problem I have had today is I have had to reboot my phone about 8 times showing this off. The best one was to a friend who is an apple fanboy and a few weeks ago I finally at least got him to admit that the X was at least as good as the iPhone (a bunch of crap, the X blows away the iPhone, but it was a win to get that far) said after seeing this my phone sucks.

Exactly!!! The problem is that my DX reboots far more often with this Boot Animation. Of course, I'm the one doing it, but that shouldn't matter, right? ;)

Which one are you guys using, the one with or without sound?

I'm just curious because it seems most people don't like the boot animations with sound because when the phone randomly reboots they get the sound when they don't want it :D

EDIT:
Oops, wrong place I wanted to edit :D

I started using the one without sound and it kept on rebooting (because I was showing everyone), now I'm using the one with sound and it reboots more because I want to show even MORE people! ;)

Me too... I liked the original in my OP, but I'm using the one with sound now to just show off... haha. Thanks again for your contribution to this thread again bouchigo.

I am also using the one with sound, it is just enough of sound to make it cool, but not over done, great work. I like it better than Apex, which I liked as well, but it is not as loud, which makes me feel better if it does reboot, but I have not had a reboot (outside of myself doing it) since I moved to 3.4.2, so far it has been a very stable build.

So has anyone gotten in trouble at work for a random reboot? I forgot and rebooted my phone during a service because it was running slow... yeah, I was super fast to hold my finger over the speaker.

Nope, I have not had a reboot (that I did not plan for) since I moved to 3.4.2. That being said except for a couple bad ROMs that I tried I have not had a problem with reboots on my X at all.

I've figured out that most random reboots are caused by people pushing their phone past its Overclock limits. Since I backed mine down some... it runs flawlessly, and the Linpack scores are higher on a lower Frequency.

Maybe bouchigo could take a stab at the Chicago bears boot animation... if you had a video (not youtube) that you could send me and I could chop up I could maybe work some time for it. But creating from scratch I just don't have the time for it (wife and twin 14 month olds)(you see my lack of time)

This has been a huge hit. Thanks to bouchigo for the sound add and glad you all are liking it.

No problem man. I showed it to my friend yesterday and he was amazed because his iphone only has a few "crappy" boot animations.....lol.

Anyway, it has 52 downloads so far, you have to be hitting around 100, if not more downloads for the original one you did, right?

I am not sure. I just tried the Xoom boot animation and it loaded fine from the zip, but when I started up the phone I had no boot animation at all. I am not too worried. I made a back-up first just in case.

Flashable does not work. It bricked me. Darnit. Gotta start all over

Edit: Bootanimation.zip works fine in data/local, but of course, there's no sound.

NP. That's what I'm here for. At this point, I know how to get out of just any problem, so why not make it easier for others?

I installed the flashable zip and no brick.....there was no bootanimation, but no brick :D
