dl the iso, burn it to a dvd, partition your hdd for it or have a 2nd hdd to use, run the dvd. ;)

Actually the dvd has the options to install along side windows or any other installed os too, so it will handle the partitioning. Or you can install it in a VM.

thnx u use VM :D

thats not kool bro why would u use tht word =/

CM9 wat does CM9 contain tht the official 4.0 doesnt have?
most of what you are use to CM7 having, well google just happened to include a bunch of features CM had..... but by the time CM9 is officially a release it will have lots of goodies in it ;)

Cyanogenmod Roms always have features that the official ics/GB doesn't have.

Well, the issues with people installing Linux distros are that people end up wanting to get rid of them after a little bit and want to go back to a single booting OS like windows 7 and will just try to delete the partition with Linux thus corrupting the bootloader and THEN they can't boot into windows unless they know what they are doing... Just install Linux Mint through the Lubi installer. That's what i recommend to be honest until you know you want to keep it permanently OR don't mind learning how to flawlessly reinstall MBRs

Or install grub from a live CD after wiping the Linux partition :P

As another option, most Linux distros allow you to boot a live image from a USB flash drive

FIXMBR does wonders, also found another tools that simplifies it a great deal, Boot-Repair!!!

but yea, wubi is great to get you feet wet n try linux out w/o much risk or know how, but live cd/dvds are even easier for that, but with wubi your work n settings stay til u uninstall it like any other app.

But as I said for anything serious a dedicated install or at the least in a vm.

I've done this before and corrupted the windows master boot record. If it happens just boot the recovery console from your win disc and type in fix mbr. Easy peasy!

When i was repairing pcs a few years back. I would charge a healthy sum to fix mbrs that malware had corrupted. It would literally take 5-10 mins. Paid my bills for many many months fixing mbrs lolol

for you and me n others its easy peasy, to others its rocket science, like following written instructions for some.....
