use this Thread to bring your phone back alive. follow the instructions.

Thanks, This is how it went down I put it in backup and tried to restore it via. CWM and got md5 mismatch. Then deleted it and put it in again. Restored again and it worked I booted all the way up and everything worked fine. Then I reflashed the ROM and flashed the ICS Theme. Then I flashed 6.0.2 and bam everything is working again!:D:D:D. Thanks again, Chev for all your help I I love this ROM so much couldn't leave it!;)

Really??? Because I had the same problem yesterday. I did a backup and tried to do an advanced restore but I kept getting a mismatch so I thought it was because I didn't have enough space on my SD card so I just wiped my whole phone again.

made this poweron for my TU and thought i'd share it.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/l1m0w4m5wnvm2q9/poweron.wav

just copy to sd card. change name from poweron.wav to poweron.snd with es file explorer.

then goto /etc folder and change that poweron.snd to poweron.snd.bak

then move poweron.snd on sd card to /etc folder then long press file(wth es explorer) then scroll down to properties and change permissions to rw-r--r-- then reboot.

rw-r--r-- is: check check blank
check blank blank
check blank blank

Keep in mind guys that if you get a md5 mismatch error it usually means that you may have spaces or invalid characters in the backup folder name, also make sure that you don't have a folder within a folder in the clockworkmod/backup folder, that would cause CWM to not be able to find the files properly, just some friendly advice...

Most times I'll rename my backup folders to a name so I can remember what the backup is, for example with the MegaTron 6.0.2 backup I renamed the folder MegaTron602Backup, notice that there are no spaces and it works perfectly... :D

I don't do that because I thought that if I did cwm wouldn't recognize the backup.

Thanks bro! Luv the sounds it makes updated perfect no never had a problem out ur roms.... I've been oc this rom just to damn perfect lol keepem, Cumin

Sent from my hands with the phone in it using Tapatalk 2

That's weird because the name of the file didn't have any spaces. Oh well

A space in the filename is just one reason CWM could have given a MD5 mismatch. The list of reasons why you get that error can get pretty long and ridiculous, especially if we're talking about a zip file that's been extracted. As for (advance) restoring a backup (especially if it wasn't touched), my guess is that either there wasn't enough room on the card to unpack the files needed to restore to the phone, or something interrupted the phone while it was making the backup in the first place. Just a guess. :)

the new poweron sound is freaking bad ass lol it's exaclty what i was going ot eventualyl put on to my tablet :P you guys should consider putting DSP Manager on here too. also how do i stop the sprint update from wanting going through?

I think it was the room issue.

Delete the update.zip file from /cache folder, then go to system/etc/security and rename otacerts.zip to otacerts.zip.bak... if the notification is still up accept it, it'll reboot to CWM, then just reboot back into system, PROBLEM SOLVED!! :D

ill get to that right after this next benchmark overclocked at 1500mhz and running with smartassv2 :P im also after the apk for the ics keyboard since my backup data has the stock keyboard so when i flashed my data over it seemed to override the ics keyboard.

I could probably dig up the ICS keyboard.apk for ya from my system, lemme know if ya need me to, ok?

Here ya go!! :D Keyboard.apk

awesome! thanks man. ima poke around with it and see if i like it. oh and your system update trick worked flawlessly XD

and for the overclockers my sad little phone only hit 4460 so far on antutu :(

Lol! np man, actually I'm not the one that came up with the system update fix, credit is due elsewhere, forget who it was that originally posted it, but glad it worked for ya, was just passing the info along so you could get it done quickly... but yeah I ran a benchmark @ 1.9 GHz and got a 5027 score, so not too shabby!! lmao!! :p

EDIT: I'm gonna run a benchmark @ 1.5 GHz with SmartassV2 and deadline, post screenshot in a few... :p

whats your minimum set to? and in any case thanks for bumpin the info along. to whomever originally posted it thanks too!

and 1.9ghz is freaking scary territory lol i did a benchmark on my tablet at max but i feel like it can handle it better than our little phones lol

just benchmarked with max 1900 and min 900 and on smartassv2 and hit 5057 on antutu. freaking wicked and im with the rest of people lol i cant get enough of the rom Chev and Mav you guys did an amazing job plus the 6.0.2 update went over without any hickups. love the boot noise and the charger noise

I don't know if you guys have ever noticed, but in the options of Goo Manager there's something about OpenRecoveryScript, Chev or Mav can either of you guys tell us if CWM is compatible with that function?? If I'm not mistaken I think that function is what tells our recovery to flash the zips we download from Goo Manager...

Don't mess with that, it will only overwrite CWM with something else.

So just to confirm here, since i goofed on the update last time and finally got all my apps back...

Update process:

Download update from goo.
Boot into cwm, make backup.
Install updated rom file via cwm
Goto advanced restore in cwm and restore only data and this should updaate the rom and add all yhour apps and such back?

Just want to confirm as last time i got a md5 mismatch error trying to restore...i also got a "e: cant find misc" or something message.

Excellent work as usual guys!

I did it just as you showed except I manualy wiped data before install and them restored it after the rom loaded works perfect. Llovein it.
