Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

Hello, just had a quick question.

My girlfriend is using this ROM (I am really impressed with it by the way, I personally have an Epic 4G Touch but this phone on this ROM is smooth) and there is only 1 issue so far for her.

I have her on 6.0.2, so with the modified OC kernel that is packaged in. I have it set to SmartassV2 governor and then the scheduler is set to SIO I believe and then her min clock is I believe the default 240 something or whatever and her max is 1.3ghz.

When the camera app is opened she receives a "cannot connect to camera" error. This doesn't always happen, but it happens pretty frequently, usually a few opens fixes the issue.

I had this issue on my phone before and it was related to the camera not wanting to operate at lower frequencies. Not sure if that is even related. Any ideas? I have fixed permissions and cleared the data for the camera app.

Also, this was a completely fresh install of 6.0.2 and I restored maybe 10 apps from Titanium (All backed up on Megatron 6.0) and restored data to about 2 or 3 apps.

The issue is the flashlight in the quick settings. if you turn on and off the flashlight it will work the issue comes from the system tying up the camera app to control the led for the flashlight. When this happens to me i turn on the light and off again and it fixes it. You could also remove the flashlight from quick settings and use the flashlight app and it should stop that issue.

OTA 6.0.3
The OTA for 6.0.3 is now released. One thing you might notice is that this OTA doesnt wipe your data:rolleyes:. Thats Rights its not suppose to wipe your data. Mavrik and i have been Re-thinking OTA's and now when you install OTA's it will only make the changes of the new version instead of having you guys completely wipe your system and have to restore them over and over especially when we are releasing OTA's this often, But if this Form of OTA's begins to form any kind of problems we are switching back to the way we usually do it "WIPE EVERYTHING". The 6.0.3 Fixes Bugs for Sprint Users and Also adds the new OTA Service that we have switched to. Now When we Release Future OTA's it will Send the Notification to your phone Instantly/as soon mav or i press that "Release OTA" Button from the Servers:D. *Cough*Expect an OTA at the end of the week *Cough*

Hello all. Quick question for anyone who runs Go Launcher instead of Xperia. Did you replace Xperia with Go Launcher in system/apps? If not, how did you go about replacing launchers? Just curious. Thanks.

There are two ways to change your launcher. One is the way you mentioned.
Two, go to play store and download home switcher. Then you can change you launcher.

Yes you have to install it your self. Select "install zip from sdcard" then go to "choose zip" and navigate to /sdcard/goo manager and you should see 6.0.3 there. Select it and then select "yes install" it will install and then you can reboot when done.

1. Go to CWM.
2. Scroll down to "install zip from sdcard" (no quotes)
3. Choose zip from sdcard
4. Scroll down to goomanager
5. Choose (your version Boost/Sprint) of 6.0.3
6. Yes - Install (your version Boost/Sprint) of 6.0.3
7. Let it work it's magic.
8. Reboot

I would like to have my launcher in system/apps. Maybe a crazy question, but how do I obtain go launcher apk? If I get it from the market, it installs and is linked to my sd card. I just want the raw apk so I can put it in system/apps and be done with it. If that makes any sense. Thanks.

I am not sure how to download the .apk without having it install but if you give me a minute or two, I will upload to my dropbox.

EDIT: Here is the link to my dropbox for GO Launcher https://www.dropbox.com/s/d5z90lq89ro6w1m/com.gau.go.launcher.apk

Ok. Three ways. I just didn't want to mention that way as I do not know the level of knowledge that some people have when they look at these posts. Delete the wrong thing on accident or just trying things could potentially mess things up.

NOT TO OFFEND ANYBODY IN ANYWAY. BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.

Trust me, no offense at all.. better to measure twice and cut once so to speak.. LOL

Not offended at all. I've swapped several apks which were found in the removed apk zip. Simple delete and paste in system/apps using es file explorer. I just remember Chev mentioning something about not all apks could be added to system/apps for some reason that I cannot remember.

Sometimes android doesn't like the apps being placed in there. I have had only a handful of apps that were rejected. Most can be moved if needed. But I also suggest copy and paste instead of move and paste. This way, the app is still there if needed.

I just noticed the new OTA Updater in my app list and downloaded this morning! I am loving this ROM and is getting better keep it up Mav. and Chev.!!!

EDIT: When should I be expecting 6.0.4!:p:D:p:D:p
