Slayer, where does it say anything about how to properly patch it? page 33? 35? 37?
Some of us are new to this, and honestly don't know.

I've been in IT for over a decade, every patch I've ever used either had all previous updates included, or out right told me to install the other one first.

I have absolute respect for everyone involved in the development of this. I just found the way Slayer wrote that discouraging to someone who's new to this whole scene. And if he can go off on a rant, why can't I? ;)

I would however suggest adding update instructions at the beginning of this thread.
Even if it just says "Do the updates in order N00B!" lol

or add it to the changelog that comes up in the OTA
 
not sure if anyone would be willing ta help, but, ill ask anywas... so i ran a benchmark test using AnTuTu and got a score of 4963 OC'd at 1900... how can i make that score higher? what apps or anything can i do ta achieve a higher score? thank you to anyone who helps me out! ROM IS SICCKKK!

id say set the gov to performance for starters lol that will leave the cpu running at a constant 1900mhz

just dont burn up your phone man. you wont get much of a score past 5k tho. i think the highest we saw was around 5100 but thats an unrealistic score since you arent going to leave your phone overclocked like that for very long

Found some issues happened but did a restore that I did after update and now working think an app mess something up 3g tweek app

Ok, Thanks again Chev for all your hard work.
The only reason I mentioned it was I used to have an LG Optimus S and drewwalton over in the S forum had made a couple "switch" type updates for their HydoRom for the S. When I mentioned to him about the CIQ work that was going on here at the TU forum he looked into it and within a day had an "update.zip" for disabling the CIQ. Another one I can remember was a way to change boot animation only with the zip file. No need to re-flash the entire ROM. So basically it seems he had a way to change certain aspects of the ROM without actually having to completely update to a new version of the ROM. Pardon my ignorance and if I'm way off base please accept my apology. I greatly appreciate the work you guys do. I was ready to deep 6 the TU and go elsewhere but after installing Megatron I can't complain. Great work and I look forward to whatever improvements are made.

im not a dev by any means but i know you can change the boot animation and such for the TU and this rom with zip files. im not an expert so i cant really point you in the right direction but i have personally done it via rom toolbox. so yeah the phones files are able to be manipulated like im assuming you are meaning when you refer to the optimus. but in any case as the praise over this rom continues, it really is like a new phone. everything about it makes me proud to be a android owner and a rom flasher lol

on the flip side i have a sorta bug to report but i dont know if its an issue with chev and mavs work but here goes. maybe someone can help with a workaround: im trying to run dsp manager with the stock music player but they dont seem to get along. on 6.0.2 with the winamp workaround they seemed fine with each other but now i get a clipping/almost skipping effect. idk what to do besides not run dsp manager so its purely a glutton thing. i think it might have something to do with the version of dsp manager...it might be built for ics...any ideas?
 
Id just like to say to chev and mav thanks so much for Megatron aka Only Rom Needed aka Competition Killer... U guys have seriously the most disgusting rom for tu its just plain sick. Seeing how its football season Megatron is like Jerry Rice and his stats and other roms are any other wr..No comparison and to far above the rest to ever catch up.. From a personal standpoint one of my fav things about is the fact that my 3g is fast and worth using...Up until Megatron if i were to try to dload a app from market i could finish a smoke by the time it would dload and install now during a smoke i can dload install and play with app..the change is highly noticable... Donations will be made to you both soon..

If i could ask for one request would be to add a screenshot function..But anyways thanks again for hard work and sick rom
 
Maybe check the settings for the keyboard,& I have no issues with the keyboard not lighting up.I have no issues @ all with $Hit haha this rom is a BEAST!!!

lol still geting used to the lack of settings though
(coming from CM10 on an EPIC 4G)
just gtta wait im sure more toys will be in the next updates.

it is certainly DSP manager.. You know DSP is for cyanogen only right?

Q: also, where on your phone is it installed?
It is supposed to run from /system/app and be dedoexed with the rest of the ROM so i doubt that would work but maybe..

Q: are you using an sd-ext partition with Lin2sd for your apps?
It will NOT run from your SD at all

Q: Where did you get it from?
I have one from my CM7 Build from my prevail. give this one a shot, you have more of a chance of it working than one you're not sure about.

I'm curious to see if we could get that working too. I will absolutely put DSP in the ROM if we could get it working with no bugs :D

i definitely got it from cyanogenmod. it was a zip so i installed it as such and it installed to system/app right. i was wondering if an older version would work. the one i have might be for cm9 or so, so based on ics. lemme scrape out that apk and try your :P

EDIT: the apk u linked was only marginally better it seems. still had skips and pops when switching screens or doing basically anything where the phone has to think. the thing is, the compression and base boost on it works fine but the EQ causes a force close everytime along with the pops and skips. i might look for more into it. it would be so bad if yall can get this on the rom :P

Ok, bear with me....lol
Flashed ROM per instructions
Followed Link2SD instructions
Commenced reinstalling needed apps from market.
All worked fine at first
Rebooted phone and all widgets and apps from installation disappeared both on home screens and in app locker...???
Rebooted, all came back...?????
Ok, so it was a glitch...maybe
Go back to installing apps. All working fine.
I use a Jawbone ERA bluetooth headset so I installed the app but it would not connect. Was following Jawbones instructions to get to connect, phone rebooted by itself back into "safe mode"....???
Rebooted normally.
All apps disappeared from app locker, all widgets disappeared from screens, and all sticky notification bar icons were gone, same as first time...??? (all I installed, not included apps, etc.)
Rebooted, all came back but widgets and shortcuts I had made on screens....????????
This time had to go back and recreate widgets and shortcuts but everything else works, including the Jawbone app....????
Ok, sorry for for the ???????....hehe, but curious if this is going to be an ongoing thing or maybe just a glitch on my phone...
Otherwise everything works perfectly, just afraid to reboot (oh no, not the dreaded reboot...lol)
It seems as though it's intermittently just not picking up the configuration on reboot and another reboot seems to fix it (at least in part due to having to redo the widgets, etc) sorta like its a crapshoot if all your stuff will be there any time you have to reboot....
Possibility that Link2SD is not relinking on reboot....?????
