Well I'm running Franco's 7.1 on the latest GummyNex and I gotta say 4.0.3 is extremely smooth compared to 4.0.2. Can't wait to see how nice the official version is gonna be.

Happy New Year for those of you east of the Pacific time zone. Those of you in the Pacific time zone only have a few more minutes.
Somehow while flashing some roms while I was in Japan I ended up with some Japanese keyboards on my Nexus. I have no idea how they got there. I guess I should have practiced "safe romming."
Any ideas of how to get rid of them?

Does long pressing on them do anything? CES is coming up soon, quads are gonna start showing up, and - oh yeah - our kids might move out this year!
Chris just finished up a recording session with his band in Nashville and Athena will wrap up her home school courses in a couple of months! And then... who knows? Travel? More volunteer work? Lots of extra snugglebunnies?
NEXUS NOTE:
If you haven't been following the Nexus forum closely, there's a great trick that Droidfan1 posted for extending battery life. Don't ask me how it works... it just seems to work for me:
Just turn on Wi-fi. Even if you don't have a wi-fi network to connect to.
My extended battery was dropping power like nothing I'd ever seen until I did this. Seems to have extended my battery life by a factor of 2 or 3!
Try it and let everyone know YOUR results - and if it works, pop in the forum and drop him/her a thanks

i had thought I noticed better battery when i had wifi on, but i just shrugged it aside as a random occurance, never thought it was actually better.

heres to another 3 months of writing down the wrong year!
I just got one too. I upgraded the screen to 1920 x 1080p. The one bottleneck in this system is the 5400 rpm hd, so I'm upgrading it to a 120 gb solid state drive. The thing's gonna fly.
