Thanks for all the help. I'll follow Scotty's instructions in the morning. You guys have been really great. I've learned a lot today!
I may go for the unroot since I am going to eBay this thing as soon as I preorder the Nexus in a couple of weeks.

Thanks so much for this thread. It saved me a lot of hassle I think. I rooted on Froyo via Revolutionary and then when I saw this thread I replaced the clockwork recovery with a stock recovery as scotty85 indicated (I used 1.70.605.0). I then accepted the OTA update and it worked just fine as far as I can tell. All my data and configuration is still there and I am on 2.3.4. I have gone into HBOOT and it still shows the "revolutionary" HBOOT, but I have lost root ability on my phone. I'm not super knowledgeable about all of this stuff. Could someone explain in detail (please) how I can regain root? Again, thanks so much for the time you guys spend sharing your knowledge. You've already saved me tons of time.

You can find whatever recovery you were using here: http://androidforums.com/thunderbol...0-radios-recoveries-hboot-updated-9-24-a.html
Rename it PG05IMG just like you did the stock one. Then flash the superuser.zip in recovery, just like wen you first rooted.
Superuser can be found on revolutionary page,or in the 1st post of the root/unroot thread![]()
I had the same issue. Tried several times. Finally, I redownloaded from megaupload and it still messed up. Then I downloaded from Multi Upload instead of megaupload. It worked fine.Still on the white HTC splash screen. Is it normal for it to take this long?
Ok. I'll give it another go tomorrow. I've gotta sleep so for now I'm just restoring my backup.
Thanks for all the help!
