Root [GUIDE] Brick Recovery

You're going to have to reflash. It probably didn't finish due to the power loss. You're lucky you still have download mode access or you would be completely hosed.
I started the reflash, but the flash tool has become stuck on 10%, and the bar on the phone is not moving at all

Just wanted to say thank you. The whole process worked flawlessly for me! Being a newbie i got scared at times, but in the end everything worked out as described in the original post.
Downgraded from a boot loopin' ZV4 to ZV3 and then upgraded to odexed ZV5.
Can't thank you enough!

Don't know... The phones memory may have been corrupted in the power loss, especially if there was a surge accompanied with it. What caused the power loss exactly?

Have you tried to boot into recovery? Maybe try a factory reset from there if you can get in.

I know there's another bit of lg software called lg firmware recovery, or something to that effect, but I don't know exactly what it is for.

Hmm. I read about several people having the same problem, and the solution being 32 bit
This is the first I've heard of this. Can you post some links?
Used 64 bit system myself. The thing is, the software and drivers are all 32 bit, so even on a 64 bit system, everything is being run on 32 bit.

That number will not work for me... i think it has something to do with the fact that i didnt flash the radio
If you're on zv3, there's no radio to flash. If you've updated, things should still be working with the zv3 radio. Try a factory reset.

It doesn't matter if you upgrade or not. The entire phone will be wiped when you downgrade. So no, don't bother with upgrading.

Most of the problems that have been encountered have resulted from user error. The other issues arise from old drivers from other phones getting in the way. About to add removal of old drivers to the guide, actually.

As for your personal concerns about your ability to do this, ask questions. We don't know what you do or don't know, so we can only help if you ask specifics. :)

Thank you so much for responding. I was reading about the differences in ROMs and such, so here is another question. The ZV5 Rooted ROM - Odex, mentions that there is a issue with Bluetooth Mac address. I read through many other posts in that thread, but I am not sure if the issue with the Bluetooth Mac address has been resolved, can you confirm? I ask because I have 3 Volts I may be rooting and two cars that are Bluetooth enabled.

According to this: http://technosamigos.com/lg-android-lollipop-update-schedule-eta/
Android Lollipop is estimated to be available or arrive for the LG Volt in the 2nd Quarter of 2015. Will my Volt being rooted affect or prevent me from getting that update?
That list is not official. At best it might apply to a non prepay phone. Wish people would stop finding it.

To answer your question though, no, it won't, but you will need to restore stock recovery to install it without bricking. I've been considering flashing back to stock and pulling a backup of the stock recovery for these situations.

That issue was on a previous version of the ROM. I believe it is fixed, but you need to ask in that thread to get confirmation from the creator (whoshotjr).
Even if it hasn't, there is a fix in that thread somewhere.

What I meant is I can downgrade from zv5 to zv3 right?
Yes, you are to start reading at step #1 in the OP of this guide. There are 5 steps that you have to do to. It's all there. Basically you are going from ZV5 back to ZV3 to get root. Then you go from ZV3 to ZV5. Read it a few times...

Okay Folks.. My phone is stuck on Firmware Update screen. I attempted to follow OP and must have done something wrong. I cant even hard reset? Please Help!
