Do u have to b in bootloader mode to do dirtycow cause i cant get into bootloader had it once that was it wont go into it again

Plug usb cable to pc then make sure phone off then hold volume button down for few sec then wille holding it down plug in the usb cable if the bat shows on screen ur not in it
