Root Here goes nothing, trying to get to VZW

any one got some prl's for the Virginia area the 3 different ones I have tried have the servers are in city's in other states
 
crazy huh... yo went back to sprint prl and it has a gang of servers in my state so know I propbly just need to find the right prl for vzw
 
sprint used ghana too but when im on sprint at work im on roaming still...i dunno gonna try a diff speedtest app

I have no idea why but no matter what i do speedtest still uses a server in ghana...havent tried a diff app yet, cant find one i like
 
ok, how 'bout this one... i'm on prl 00001... want to go back to current sprint.... prl update is timing out, error code 1012 or something like that... can i get the current prl somewhere else??? 60678 i believe it is... i did a restore and prl is still 00001...

Ok just got mine to update....make sure your 3g is working. If not try to toggle airplane mode.. then try to update
 
When I switch back to sprint it always finds 01115. In Richmond...which is about 2 hr from here....yo matt where in the files is the prl kept. Ie system/app etc.

Edit: The terms and conditions clearly specify what sprint's limits are with regard to voice and data while roaming. And as stated above, while roaming, none of sprints enhancements apply. That is, no mobile-mobile, and no nights/weekends, no sprint2home (if you have that addon). Everything comes out of your bucket of minutes.

No idea man. Certainly not in system though. I don't even know what kind of string I would search for...never seen a flashable zip either, not sure it's possible...

Bucket of minutes? I don't have a bucket it's unlimited....? That seems to refer to calls and texts, not data use per se...

think he is referring to the any time minutes... not sure of your plan but mine is the every thing data.. 69 a month and it only has 450 any time minutes .. which I am good with cause any mobile to any moble unlimited covers most of my phone calls
 
That's a very informative xda thread, well, at least it brings forth some thoughts.

XDA is not nearly as friendly as here. I've counted at least three "reading > you" insults....
 
So I just checked clears website and looked for 4g coverage. They have 3 cities in my state with coverage. They said they have coverage in my city also but they arent selling it yet...? WTF? I looked and according to their map I am covered but its not being sold yet? And as soon as clear starts selling it will sprint make it available to me? does sprint have to do anything else for me to use it after clear flips the switch?
 
Wait I thought Sprint had controlling intreast in shares of clearwire ....this makes no sense cause sprint is losing money Every day they don't have 4g in a place vzw does
