As said earlier here, and in other threads, there is no certainty to a "yes" or a "no" as to if the official OTA will or will not come to phones with one of the leaked versions installed.
However, there are a few clues which lead me to lean toward the "no."
The strongest clue is that it has been repeated by Verizon and HTC representatives that one of the big issues being corrected by developers is that the wiping of the user's data in the device in order to install an update is not in the best interest of either the user or the company.
If they desire to give birth to a large software bundle which will segue into all user's phones, then it seems expedient for them to concentrate on the stock 1.5 which is in most need of the updated code, rather than attempt to accommodate one or the other versions of the in-development code.
Dammit, that makes sense... wishful thinking on my part, hoping the OTA would work for the 'early adopters'. Kudos to you, though, the first reasonable answer I've read on the subject.
