Root i need help with HTC EVO 4g

ok so out of curiosity what did you do before all of this happened? it sounds like this happened right after you flashed a different rom, correct? what did you wipe?
ok so you did a nandroid backup of mikg then you flashed another rom. did you wipe at all before flashing the rom? if so what did you wipe?
no wipe? you always have to wipe whenever you flash a rom. not sure if this is all caused by what is happening, but it did not help any.

1.ok so first delete the other PC36IMG file you have on your phone.
2.download this file:PC36IMG_RA_2.3.zip
3.rename it to PC36IMG
4.move it to the card
5.go into the bootloader
6.select yes to update

Some version of windows hide file extentions. So you want to make sure its PC36IMG.zip and not something like PC36IMG.zip.zip
so don't add a zip to the end of it, but it its there don't delete it.
its the same procedure that you used for the ruu earlier. just make sure not to add an extra .zip to the name.

Don't reboot and then try to select recovery.
ok in the bootloader menu what do you see? what are the selections?
. Do you have insurance?
ok just wanted to be sure. so in recovery, it just boots up? weird.
